    Abstract: A system for preventing unauthorized access to the programming and control features of a fire/security/control systems remote sensors. The exemplary embodiment of the present invention utilizes an association of transmitter identity/address with a central processor/control fire/security data base, which in turn is configured to securely program each transmitter with its location and function, or "personality". The various, individual sensors and central processor/control unit communicate individually via individual, repeatable pseudo randomization algorithms, producing a several bit result. The communicating central processor/control and each sensor must have a match on outgoing/incoming code before the transmitting sensor will accept the programming on its personality. The exemplary embodiment of the present invention also utilizes a randomization seed, which can altered occasionally, to further increase security.

    Abstract: A low cost spread spectrum modulator for BPSK, or Binary Phase Shift Keying capable of outputting the high modulation rate and suppressed carrier output needed in spread spectrum systems. The present invention provides high quality BPSK modulation without the double balance mixers as required in the prior art, thereby dispensing with the necessity of complex transistor/potonciometer or diode/transformer arrangements. The present invention provides BPSK modulation utilizing only one transformer, which can be adjusted for carrier suppression and two transistors, FET's, or digital logic gates or the like, allowing the present system to be driven from low power CMOS logic levels, yet producing eight db of gain. The present invention may also be utilized as a frequency multiplier, with the utilization of the appropriately high frequency transistor, FET, digital logic gate, or the like.

    Abstract: An electronic safe has a secure housing including a lockable door thereto, a programmable control unit within said housing, a keyboard mounted on an external side of the housing and connected to the control unit, whereby a user can program a selected combination code into the control unit through the keyboard, a motor driven lock bolt for locking the door to the housing upon the programming of a combination code by a user and closing of the door, and a program control for recognizing entry of the selected combination code to open the lock bolt to permit access into the safe. The electronic safe further has a display for displaying the codes entered by the user, and an override device for randomly generating an alternate code and permitting access into the safe upon entry by the user of an override code corresponding to the alternate code. A pull-out component is also provided for altering the alternate code generating program in the event the security of the override code list has been breached.
