  • Patent number: 11117190
Abstract: A method for creating a metallurgic component comprises creating a thin-walled container corresponding to a shape of the metallurgic component from a metal. If powder metal is not already in the container (depending on a method of creating the container), the thin-walled container is filled with powder metal. A quick-can device is fixed to the thin-walled container, and the powder metal is consolidated inside the thin-walled container (e.g., in a hot isostatic press). During consolidation, pressure within the thin-walled container is monitored and a desired pressure differential between an inside of the thin-walled container and an outside of the thin-walled container is maintained by the quick-can device.

  • Patent number: 5059680
Abstract: A preparation of an isolated immunoreactive CA 125 Antigen, and a method of isolating it is disclosed. CA 125 Antigen is a glycoprotein having a molecular weight of about 200kD, and a carbohydrate-content of about 24%. The CA 125 Antigen is isolated from a cell culture medium by acid precipitation, and is subsequently purified by size exclusion chromatography and immunoaffinity chromatography.

  • Patent number: 4911647
Abstract: An insertion/extraction mechanism is used to cause blind mateable electrical connectors on an electrical module to engage and disengage mating electrical connectors in a housing by forcing the module to and from its fully inserted position within the housing. The mechanism includes a U-shaped handle pivotally mounted to the module at its ends through elastomeric sleeves. The sleeves are each mounted in a mounting hole in the module and each has a central bore within which a mounting shaft, extending from the handle, is housed. Each end of the handle has a camming surface which engages a pivot pin carried by the housing as the handle is pivoted while inserting the module into and withdrawing the module from the housing. This engagement of the camming surfaces and the pivot pins causes the handle ends and the associated mounting shafts to push radially against the elastomeric sleeves as the handle is pivoted during insertion and extraction.

  • Patent number: 4060250
Abstract: The disclosure relates to rotary machinery, including a wear ring seal member stationarily mounted in a holding member which extends generally coaxially about a rotatable cylindrical member in substantially sealing relationship with the surface of the rotatable member, the rotatable member being made of carbon steel. The improvement resides in providing the surface of the rotatable carbon steel member in sealing relationship with the ring seal with a fused alloy coating metallurgically bonded thereto, the coating being formed of a heat and corrosion resistant welding alloy composition containing about 10% to 30% by weight chromium and the balance at least about 60% nickel, such that the carbon steel member is protected against oxidation and ignition due to overheating.
