  • Publication number: 20160206476
Abstract: Many people like to spend time in the sun, in particularly sunbathing. The risks of exposure to the sun are well documented, such as aging of the skin caused by ultraviolet light rays and development of skin pigmentation. People are encouraged to take steps to protect their skins and eyes from exposure to the sun, particularly delicate areas of skin such as the periorbital area around the eyes. Typically a person wears sun glasses to protect their eyes and a number of designs are available that successfully protect a user's eyes from harmful rays from the sun or artificial rays from a sunbed however; they can lead to unsightly tan lines particularly at the temples and across the bridge of the nose. The present invention provides a bridgeless eye cover device for covering the delicate skin around the eyes, preventing or limiting transmission of light and reducing unsightly tanning lines.
