Abstract: An immersive audiovisual training system includes: a trainer platform computer generating a training program; a content management computer receiving the training program and using the program to retrieve educational content, background content, and challenges content; and a viewing device receiving all three contents to display a simulated environment. The background content contains information on a visual background to display in the simulated environment, and the challenges content contains data concerning one or more challenges to present to a user of the viewing device, the challenges being configured to test a professional skill of the user. The viewing device has: a processor processing the background content and challenges content to generate the simulated environment and the educational content to generate an enrichment module, which provides tips about the professional skill to the user; and a display unit displaying the simulated environment and enrichment module to the user.

Abstract: A training reinforcement notification system including an authoring platform computer, a notification computer, a notification database, and a trainee device having a display. The authoring platform computer generates a training program including reinforcement content. The notification computer receives the reinforcement content and stores it in the notification database. The trainee device generates customization data which is received by the notification computer, where a content delivery program running on the notification computer processes the customization data and generates delivery preferences which are stored in the database. The content delivery program retrieves the reinforcement content and delivery preferences from the database, and generates a plurality of notifications having reinforcement content. Each of the plurality of notifications generated by the content delivery program is delivered to the trainee device based on delivery preferences.

Abstract: An immersive audiovisual training system including a content management computer for generating educational content, a content database for receiving and storing educational content, a viewing device for receiving the educational content from the content management computer via a network and a viewing device. The viewing device having sensors for generating a sensor signal indicative of movement of the viewing device relative to a base position, and a user interface for generating an input signal indicative of user commands. The viewing device also having a display, which receives a display signal indicative of the sensor signal, the input signal, and the educational content received by a processor, and presents the educational content. The educational content includes a training presentation and an enrichment module, and the enrichment module helps a trainee to understand the training presentation.
