  • Patent number: 11958033
Abstract: This invention relates to modified MOF materials, methods of preparing them and processes using them. A modified MOF of the invention is modified by impregnating a MOF with an inorganic metal salt. The starting MOF contains at least one linker or ligand which contains an aryl amino group as part of its structure. These modified MOFs are able to adsorb either basic or acidic toxic industrial compounds (TIC). The modified MOFs can be used to remove TICs from various gaseous streams such as air.

  • Patent number: 11916918
Abstract: Disclosed are some implementations of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for executing process flows. A request to initiate execution of a flow is processed, where the request is received from a first user. The flow includes a plurality of flow elements, where each of the flow elements represents a corresponding set of computer-readable instructions. Execution of the flow is initiated and an operation mode assigned to one of the flow elements is determined. A set of computer-readable instructions corresponding to the flow element is executed according to the operation mode such that an identity of the first user is recorded in association with an operation on a database record, wherein permissions allocated in a user profile to the first user do not provide the first user permission to cause the operation on the database record.

  • Patent number: 7195399
Abstract: A wheel end assembly includes a bearing shaft having an inboard end and an outboard end, a wheel hub mounted onto the outboard end of the bearing shaft, and a detachable outboard joint mounted onto the inboard end of the bearing shaft. A wheel bearing is mounted onto the bearing shaft between the inboard end and the outboard end. The inboard end of the bearing shaft includes a flange portion to support the wheel bearing on the bearing shaft and to induce a pre-load into the wheel bearing such that the pre-load is maintained on the wheel bearing when the outboard joint is removed from the wheel end assembly. A support hub is positioned between and interconnects the detachable outboard joint and the bearing shaft. The support hub has a shaft portion that engages the bearing shaft and an engagement portion extending axially from the shaft portion.

  • Patent number: 6969125
Abstract: A wheel end assembly includes a bearing shaft having a wheel hub mounted onto an outboard end, and a detachable outboard joint mounted onto an inboard end. A wheel bearing is mounted onto the bearing shaft, and includes a knuckle flange having an inner diameter that defines an inboard outer race and an outboard outer race. An inboard inner race and an outboard inner race are supported on the bearing shaft. Bearing elements are positioned between the inner and outer races. An inboard bearing ring is mounted onto the bearing shaft. The inboard bearing ring defines the inboard inner race and includes an engagement portion extending axially inward that engages the detachable outboard joint. The bearing shaft includes a flange portion that supports the inboard bearing ring and the wheel bearing when the outboard joint is removed.

  • Patent number: 6869151
Abstract: A knuckle-supported wheelend assembly includes a shaft having a contoured peripheral surface portion proximate to an outboard end featuring a minimum radius and a maximum radius, and a hub mounted on the shaft's contoured surface portion via a complementary, contoured central bore. The nontapered contoured hub-shaft interface includes a slight twist or jog to reduce backlash and to permit a relative shortening of the length of axial hub-shaft engagement to as little as about 45% of the maximum radius, thereby advantageously reducing scrub radius for a given wheel-tire combination. By eliminating any required taper of the contoured interface, the hub's inboard face firmly abuts the machined face of the inner race of a knuckle-mounted, shaft-supporting bearing assembly to achieve reduced assembly runout. The hub's wheel-mounting face and integral annular friction surfaces are each machined with reference to the inboard hub face to ensure a high degree of parallelism.

  • Publication number: 20020143891
Abstract: A method and apparatus for using a mobile phone to customize user interface is disclosed. The method comprises first providing a default user interface screen on the mobile phone in a local memory. Upon power-up by a first user, the mobile phone displays the first user interface screen for a first user of the mobile phone. Then, the mobile phone can make a data call to a first web server through a global computer information network, e.g. the Internet. The phone can brows a first desired web page at the first web server. If selected, the phone duplicates the first desired web page to the local memory as the default user interface for the first user, such that when the mobile phone is powered up by the first user, the mobile phone displays the desired web page.

  • Publication number: 20020135511
Abstract: Satellite positioning system enabled mobile receivers (310) and cellular communication network base stations (330) synchronized with satellite positioning system clocks and method therefore. In a network-assisted embodiment, a variable propagation delay for transmission of an assistance message (232) from the base station to the mobile receiver is determined for correcting the handset clock (318). In others embodiments, local clock drift of mobile receivers (310) and/or base stations (330) are determined by a ratio of local and satellite time differences, based on sequential time snapshots, for use in correcting the local clocks.

  • Patent number: 5893036
Abstract: A transmission power control method subdivides one or more transmission power steps as defined in a system specification into multiple sub-steps. A base station (290) instructs a mobile station (280) to use a defined power step, and the mobile station (280) initially selects a maximum power sub-step within the requested power step during an initial RACH (225) transmission. During the duration of the call, the mobile station (280) dynamically adjusts the power sub-step based on measured signal reception quality and channel conditions. The result is an improvement in call completion rates with only a minor reduction in battery life.
