  • Publication number: 20240076918
Abstract: A latch includes a handle, a hook, a first link, and a second link. The hook is rotatably mounted to the handle at a first rotational axis. The hook includes a hook body. The hook body includes a first lateral portion and a second lateral portion. The first lateral portion is laterally spaced from the second lateral portion. The first link is laterally between the first lateral portion and the second lateral portion. The first link is rotatably mounted to the first lateral portion and the second lateral portion at the first rotational axis. The second link is laterally between the first lateral portion and the second lateral portion. The second link is rotatably mounted to the first link at a second rotational axis. The second link is configured for translation relative to the first lateral portion and the second lateral portion.

  • Publication number: 20230192307
Abstract: A pressure relief door assembly includes a pressure relief door, a pressure-actuated latch, and a temperature-actuated lock. The latch is disposable in each of a latched configuration (to retain the pressure relief door in a closed position) and an unlatched configuration (to allow the pressure relief door to move into an open position). The lock is disposable in each of an unlocked configuration (to allow the pressure relief door to move into the open position when the latch is in its unlatched configuration) and a locked configuration (e.g., to lock the latch in its latched configuration, to lock the pressure relief door in its closed position, or both). The lock may include a bimetallic coil, that when exposed to a temperature that satisfies a temperature threshold, expands a sufficient amount to engage a locking pin with a corresponding portion of the latch to retain the latch in its latched configuration.

  • Patent number: 11536064
Abstract: A latch mechanism configured to engage a mating pin is disclosed. In various embodiments, the latch mechanism includes a latch frame; a latch arm pivotally mounted to the latch frame at a pivot axis; and a bias member configured to apply a load to the latch arm in a transverse direction generally perpendicular to the pivot axis and to bias the latch arm from rotating in a first rotational direction about the pivot axis and from rotating away from the mating pin.

  • Publication number: 20220194612
Abstract: A hook body for a latch mechanism is disclosed. In various embodiments, the hook body includes a plurality of longitudinal members on an upper and a lower surface only, each of the plurality of longitudinal members extending in a longitudinal direction along a full length with respect to the hook body, and a hook body load bearing plate connected to the plurality of longitudinal members and being oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the hook body load bearing plate configured to slidably receive a shaft connected to a hook, the shaft extending in the longitudinal direction with respect to the hook body.

  • Patent number: 11326378
Abstract: A latch includes a latch housing including a first housing portion and a second housing portion separable from the first housing portion. The second housing portion includes a keeper. A first arm member is in rotational communication with the first housing portion. The first arm member is configured to rotate about a first axis between a first position and a second position. A second arm member is in rotational communication with the first arm member. A latch load pin is in rotational communication with the first arm member about a second axis. The latch load pin is configured to mate with the keeper with the first arm member in the first position. The second arm member in the first position is configured to be fixed relative to the first arm member as the first arm member rotates from the first position toward the second position.
