Publication number: 20240383160Abstract: The present invention proposes a connection structure for a robot that operates inside pipes, as its small size allows high tractions in restricted spaces. It can be applied to form the connection structure of intervention robotic systems that operate under traction and can also be used to connect two umbilicals without using a large volume connector. Accordingly, the solution found by the present application solves the connection problems between two systems, the robot and the umbilical cable, and solves the problem of the state of the art, using a splice housing (1) that internally contains a splice hood (5).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2022Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicants: PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S.A. - PETROBRAS, SERVIÇO NACIONAL DE APRENDIZAGEM INDUSTRIAL DEPARTAMENTO REGIONAL DE SANTA CATARINA - SENAI/SCInventors: André Viegas WENTZ, Augusto Parigot DE SOUZA, Frederico EGGERS, Anselmo Luis da Silva JUNIOR, Lucas Bianco Garcia DA SILVA, Hugo Francisco Lisboa SANTOS

Patent number: 11988527Abstract: The present invention is used to compose the structure of a system that operates inside pipelines. It can be used in a robotic system in the form of a train to move tools inside small diameter tubes or ducts. It avoids the need for costly commercial connectors with limited variety of connections. The proposed solution is to partition/separate the electronic or hydraulic components into pressure vessel modules, thereby making it necessary to provide an adequate means of interconnection between said modules by means of an elastomeric conduit. Each module has a heat exchanger system (sink) to remove the heat generated by the electronic equipment installed inside thereof. The product of the invention has a sufficient degree of freedom to move in ducts and underwater pipes, where the hydrostatic pressure is extremely high.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2020Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignees: PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S.A.—PETROBRÁS, SERVIO NACIONAL DE APRENDIZAGEM INDUSTRIAL—SENAIInventors: André Viegas Wentz, Cristiane Mioto Becker, Enzo Costamilan, Eduardo Gerhardt, Hugo Francisco Lisboa Santos

Publication number: 20240052962Abstract: The present invention provides a pulling system essentially consisting of two sets of feet (11) and a hydraulic cylinder (15). Each set is positioned on one of the sides of the hydraulic cylinder (15). The two sets of feet (11) have a self-locking mechanism. The self-locking mechanism allows each set of feet to act preferentially on one side and exert powerful forces. The invention further provides a flexible reservoir (21) capable of equalizing the pressures inside and outside the medium, allowing the operation of a hydraulic system in an environment that is subjected to any pressure value, provided that it is within the operating range of the components. In addition, the maintenance of a closed circuit ensures that no fluid contamination occurs.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2021Publication date: February 15, 2024Inventors: Hugo Francisco LISBOA SANTOS, Rafael Antônio COMPARSI LARANJA, Henrique THEISSEN MENDEL, Eduardo André PERONDI, Tiago BECKER, Ney Robinson SALVI DOS REIS

Patent number: 11702889Abstract: The present invention refers to a method of drilling a marine wellbore with fluid reverse circulation without using drilling riser tubulars. In reverse circulation drilling, the fluid return with gravels occurs inside the drill string (17) and the injection of clean fluid is done through the annular of the well, so that, having a rotating head over the BOP (19), or inside it, the use of riser tubulars as a flow line for the fluid return with gravels is disposed, using instead the drill string (17). For the kill and choke lines, as well as for fluid injection, rigid or flexible lines can be used, eliminating the need to use drilling risers, thus releasing large load capacity and space on the probe. The method of this invention also eliminates the need for large volumes of fluid to fill entire riser tubulars. The entire operation can be done without the need for subsea pumps or concentric columns.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2022Date of Patent: July 18, 2023Assignee: PETROLEO BRASILEIRO S.A.—PETROBRASInventors: Joseir Gandra Percy, Roni Abensur Gandelman, Guilherme Ribeiro Magalhaes, Emilio Cesar Cavalcante Melo Da Silva, Guilherme Siqueira Vanni, Augusto Borella Hougaz, Joao Carlos Ribeiro Placido, Hugo Francisco Lisboa Santos

Publication number: 20230071276Abstract: The present invention proposes a solution for anchoring systems, which can be applied to connect a robotic system with its power supply structure (for example, umbilical cables), or then separate the same into several modules, each containing a pair of anchors. The objective is achieved when the sleeve (4) is tensioned, by pulling the ring against its stop and, thus, performing a self-locking. The self-locking occurs because the friction force generated at the lace interface is greater than the sleeve tensioning force. Also, allied to this, so that there is an initial friction force, the mesh is tightened by threading the stop of the conventional ring in the house of the conventional ring. The proposed solution takes up little space for the anchoring system, and can be applied in pipes of reduced internal diameter, still being a robust tension anchoring solution. It can be applied to any part of the robot and as many times as necessary, not being limited to the connection with the umbilical.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Inventors: André Viegas Wentz, Lucas Bianco Garcia Da Silva, Hugo Francisco Lisboa Santos, Frederico Eggers, Enzo Costamilan
