  • Publication number: 20220337137
Abstract: A translation motor includes a flat stator that defines a stator plane and has an upper face and a lower face. An active translation rotor is linearly displaceable relative to an X-axis along the stator plane. The upper face includes a toothed structure arranged linearly with respect to the X-axis and is defined by stator teeth and stator tooth spaces. The flat stator is defined by a stamping-shaped planar stator material and has a die side that is an elevated side and a punch side that is a recessed side. The die side has elevations that define the stator teeth. The die side defines the upper face and the punch side defines the lower face.

  • Patent number: 8884490
Abstract: A stator (32, 132, 232) or rotor for an electrodynamic machine, in particular for a torque motor acting as an internal or external rotor, comprises a plurality of partly annular plate segments (10, 110, 210) which are stacked in a manner to constitute several partly annular plate segment blocks (34, 134, 234). Combined into a ring, said blocks constitute the stator (32, 132, 232) or rotor the particular adjacent plate segment blocks (34, 134, 234) being mutually clamped by a clamping means. This clamping means already may be integrated into said plate segment blocks or it may be constituted by a housing (145, 245) of which the segments (148, 248) can be clamped against one another. If illustratively the housing (145) is emplaced externally around the stator (132) then the inside diameter of said housing may be varied during installation of the stator (132) or rotor in a manner that the housing may be positioned around the installed plate segment blocks (34, 134) and also may be radially clamped against them.

  • Publication number: 20080157607
Abstract: The present invention relates to a linear unit comprising at least one guide rail 12, at least one substantially U shaped carriage 40 displaceable on the guide rail 12, and a transverse support segment 42 and two lateral leg segments 44, where the segments 42, 44 partly enclose the guide rail 12, further a playfree bearing configured between the guide rail 12 and the carriage 40 and at least two bearing elements and at least two bearing surfaces 14 constituted at the guide rail 12 to brace and guide the bearing elements, and means to adjust the bearing in playfree manner. In the invention, the bearing elements are designed in a manner that they are rotatable relative to the guide rail 12 and the carriage 40 to adjust the bearing in playfree manner. The rotatable design of the bearing elements of the invention assures that they automatically align themselves with respect to the corresponding bearing surfaces when the bearing is being adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5288151
Abstract: Two shafts (20) of a linear motion guide unit (10) are clamped together on a support (12) with positive line locking by bolts (24) engaging tapped pocket holes (22) inclined an acute angle (.alpha. ) relative to each other, one screw-hole (42) in the support (12) being inclined relative to a neighboring hole or to a mirror-symmetrical pair of counter-holes (44). Rail bodies (14) of aluminium integral with flat bars (30) include a fillet (26) with an adjacent crest (16) and a recessed step (28). Abutting shaft ends (47) may be clamped, by bolting at a counter-hole pair (44), to a through-shaft fixed at a central hole (42) on a single support (12 or 31). A continuous rail body having spaced groups of screw holes (40, 41) may be part of a box-like hollow section (64). In a three-cavity profile (70), two outer hollow sections (64) join a center cavity (71).

  • Patent number: 4945781
Abstract: The invention relates to a ball screw mechanism (10) having a nut (20) screwing along a worm spindle (12) with at least one set of balls (18) lodged therebetween. The nut is preferably an elongate cuboid block and has gripping jaws (26, 28) for retaining a recirculator (30) that includes an inner face (32) having S-shaped curved transition grooves (34) for returning balls that circulate within the nut, by one flight each of the worm tap. Unilaterally along the axial worm-tap hole (22) in the nut (20), there is a radial recess (24) matching the shape of the recirculator (30) which is a shoe fitting into a slot adjacent the worm-tap hole (22). A straining bolt (36) may be provided on the nut (20) for adjusting the clear width (w) of its jaws (26, 28) which may be prestressed. Fixing means may be provided on the nut (20) for mounting subassemblies, engaging means, etc.

  • Patent number: 4775247
Abstract: The invention relates to a guide unit (10) for effecting linear motion. It includes a rail body (12) having longitudinal recesses (20) in which shafts (22) are held so as to protrude with their outside (24). The top face (18) of the rail body comprises edges by way of upper ribs (26) which may be elastic or adjustable in opposition to rigid lower ribs (28). Along the center of the rail body (12), there are evenly spaced hollows (32) into which fitting pieces (30) are squeezed. For improved force-fit, the top (18) of the rail body (12) may have a longitudinal slot (52) with bores; if cylindrical rollers ar pressed thereinto, the upper ribs (26) bend down to firmly and uniformly grip the shafts (22). These may be positively engaged by linear ball bearings (42) of a carriage (40) slideably mounted to the guide unit (10).

  • Patent number: 4547025
Abstract: A guide bearing for a linear body, such as a shaft, a rod or the like, comprising in combination a housing having an interior space, and an exterior face in the form of an outwardly concave wall that has two spaced apart parallel elongated slots therein that are in open communication with said interior space, two spaced apart parallel ball raceways located adjacent said elongated slots in said interior space, said raceways being in the form of endless loops and containing a plurality of balls, and cover plates which maintain said raceways in position within said housing, and wherein the width of each of said two spaced apart elongated slots is less than the diameter of the balls which move past said slots in said raceways so that only a portion of said balls will protrude outwardly through said concave wall of the housing for contact with said linear body.
