  • Patent number: 7871047
Abstract: In a fixture for spatial positioning of a device, in particular a device for a medical application, that is supported in a pivoting arrangement on a holding device or the like by means of an arm, quick and easy alignment of the device in relation to a person's treatment area is provided. This alignment is achieved in that a ring-shaped holding body is attached to the free end of the arm, that a spherical outer jacket surface is provided on the device with the surface enclosed wholly or in part by the holding body, and that the outer jacket surface of the device is held in the holding body and can be pivoted relative to the holding body.

  • Publication number: 20100004568
Abstract: The invention relates to a treatment device (1) for a device (2) for producing shock waves (4) that are especially suitable for medical use. Said device comprises a housing (3), in which the device (2) for producing shock waves (4) is arranged, a focusing device (5) in which the housing (3) is inserted and which is sealed from the exterior in a liquid-tight manner by a membrane (10), a bellows structure or the like, a liquid (6) with which the focusing device (5) is filled and which encloses the device (2) for producing shock waves (4), and a conduit (7) through which the liquid (6) can be supplied to and discharged from the focusing device (5). The aim of the invention is to allow gases which naturally occur in the water or gas which is produced by the shock wave production to be chemically bound or to be reconverted to water. For this purpose it is e.g.

  • Publication number: 20090326421
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for producing shock waves (2), especially for medical use. Said device comprises a housing (3), being penetrable to the shock waves (2), at least one pair of electrodes (4), arranged in the interior of the housing (3), between which respective voltages for producing shock waves (2) can be adjusted, and a liquid (5), surrounding the electrodes (4) and consisting entirely or partially of a plurality of water molecules (H2O). The aim of the invention is to substantially improve the efficiency and the service life of the device (1). For this purpose, the production of hydrogen, oxygen and hydroxide ions between the electrode lips (4) is not impeded. More specifically, the aim of the invention is to provide a device (1) which prevents hydrogen (6) from escaping, which stores it and allows its complete back reaction to water molecules.
