  • Publication number: 20050183220
Abstract: The invention teaches a cleaning system designed to be installed on a surface exposed to poor weather conditions or on a roof. Said system comprises a plurality of reactive surfaces consisting of a metal surface, preferably containing copper, said surface producing, combined with water, compounds having a cleaning, preferably fungicidal and/or bactericidal, action. When they are dissolved, said compounds can cover the roof at least partly. The inventive system is characterized in that it comprises at least one partly metallic layer, at least one partly metallic layer arranged on the surface to be cleaned and at least one partly metallic intermediate layer partly, at least two layers being separated from one another over at least part of their surface by spacers such that between the coats gaps are formed wherein natural moisture can infiltrate.

  • Publication number: 20050103409
Abstract: The invention concerns a cleaning system for surfaces exposed to poor weather conditions, in particular roof surfaces, solar heating systems or glass roofs. Said system comprises a plurality of reactive surfaces containing copper which produce, under the effect of natural moisture, compounds having a cleaning action, preferably of substances which eliminate bacteria, algae, fungi and/or lichens or at least stop their growth and/or eliminate pollutants derived from the environment. The invention is characterized in that the reactive surfaces are made of pure copper.

  • Publication number: 20030150170
Abstract: The invention relates to a roof covering for cleaning and keeping the roofs of buildings clean, in particular of plant growth, or pollutants, comprising a sheet-like material (1) which reacts in co-operation with moisture. The sheet-like material forms a partly closed chamber, when in the state of being set upon an inferior roof element (5) and slowly releases the moisture accumulated in said chamber to the exterior.

  • Patent number: 6253495
Abstract: The invention relates to a metal roof plate for cleaning and maintaining the clean state of building roofs, in particular from plant growth of environmental pollution. The object of the invention is to improve the efficiency of said metal roof plate comprising a metal reacting in conjunction with moisture, said plate being produced by punching from material in the shape of a plate, and having textured reaction surface (2) with raised lumps (3) and openings (4). The object is attained in that the openings (4) of the lumps (3) are inclined in the opposite direction to the direction (A) of water discharge.

  • Patent number: 3953696
Abstract: An actuator comprises a housing having a bore with an opening and having a recess stop surface defined along the bore. A push button actuator is displaceable in the bore and projects through the opening so that it may be moved by hand between a non-actuated position to an actuated position. The push button includes a cross-bore or cavity with a lock bolt movable in the cavity and biased by a spring so that it engages with the stop surface when the push button is in a deactivated position. The housing also has a crossbore or recess containing a release member which has a push button end which is engageable from the exterior of the housing to displace the release member. In the locked deactivated position, the release member is engaged with the locking member so that the displacement thereof forces the locking member against its biasing spring to a position in which it is moved out of engagement with the stop surface so that the push button may be moved to an activated position.
