In order to increase the power density of such a converter, the I cores of the corresponding conventional converter are removed and the remaining windings (P1, S1, Lr1, Lr2) for the transformer and the series resonant chokes are arranged and connected such that the magnetic fluxes generated in the yokes of the transformer core elements (E3, E4) at least partially compensate each other.
