  • Publication number: 20090034192
Abstract: An overheat prevention device for use in a projection apparatus is provided. The projection apparatus comprises a light source module. The overheat prevention device comprises an inclination angle detector, a cooling module, and a control circuitry. The inclination detector is adapted to detect a first inclination angle and a second inclination angle, which the light source module is subject to relative to a reference plane, and transmit a first inclination signal and a second inclination signal, respectively. In response to the first inclination signal, the control circuitry alters the cooling module from a first operation mode to a second operation mode. In response to the second inclination signal, the control circuitry alters the projection apparatus from the first operation mode to the second operation mode.

  • Publication number: 20080043439
Abstract: A cooling module for use with a DMD module of a projection apparatus is provided. The cooling module comprises a heat conduction device, at least one heat pipe, and at least one fin. Heat accumulating on the DMD module can be released from the heat conduction device to the fins through the heat pipe. Meanwhile, the fins partially overlap along the direction of the light coming from the light source. Thus, the fins can also prevent the unused light in the casing of the projection apparatus from leakage.

  • Publication number: 20070247592
Abstract: A projection apparatus having a temperature controlling system is provided. The projection apparatus comprises at least a heat generating element, while the temperature controlling system comprises a liquid flow system, a heat generating device, and a heat transferring device. The liquid flow system is disposed along the heat generating element. The heat generating device produces heat with a positive value (endothermic) or a negative value (exothermic) in response to an environment dependent on the location of the projection apparatus. The heat transferring device transfers the heat generated by the heat generating device along the liquid flow system. The present invention maintains the operation of the projection apparatus under the desired working temperature and enables a thermal equilibrium of the projection apparatus without being influenced by the over-temperature or under-temperature of the external environment.

  • Publication number: 20070147043
Abstract: The present invention is a cooling apparatus for use in lighting that comprises a reflector. The cooling apparatus comprises an airflow guiding module and a fan wherein the guiding module is circumferentially disposed around the reflector to form a first guiding space between the reflector and the guiding module. The guiding module has an airflow inlet and an airflow outlet. The fan is disposed on the outer end of the airflow inlet to guide outside airflow traveling from the airflow inlet to the airflow outlet through the first guiding space. The cooling apparatus of the present invention further comprises a shielding device disposed on the outer end of the airflow outlet to form a second guiding space between the shielding device and the airflow outlet, whereby the reflector is cooled efficiently while shielding light.

  • Patent number: 7032758
Abstract: A workpiece holder is provided inside a clean container such that when covering a housing of the clean container on a base of the clean container, the vertical slide of the workpiece holder is stopped at the base, and a locating member is continuously lowered with the housing, thereby causing the vertical slide to slide upwardly along the locating member and to turn a link, and then causing a holder member to be driven by the link to force a thrust face against workpieces, and therefore the workpieces are pushed into position in a cassette on the base. Because the vertical slide does not displace relative to the base when covering the housing on the base, neither friction nor particles are produced, and workpieces are well protected against contamination.

  • Publication number: 20050195694
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling data access rate of an optical disc player are disclosed. The method includes steps of (1) utilizing a micro-controller to decide whether an action of an instruction of a predetermined data processing is an extraction operation or a play operation; (2) driving the spindle motor and a pick-up head to retrieve data from an optical disc at a first data access rate by the micro-controller while the action of the instruction of the predetermined data processing is an extraction operation; and (3) driving the spindle speed and the pick-up head to retrieve data from the optical disc at a second data access rate which is less than the first data access rate by the micro-controller while the action of the instruction of the predetermined data processing is a play operation.

  • Publication number: 20030197588
Abstract: This invention relates to a voltage regulated circuit, more particularly, to a voltage regulated circuit with a well resistor divider. The present invention applies two well resistors act as the voltage regulated circuit and uses the characteristic of the well resistor in the resistance value, which is increased following the voltage that is transmitted to the well resistor to make an output voltage become a stable value. When the input voltage is an instable and over-high value, the depletion region in the well resistor will extend to absorb the over-high voltage value and make the output voltage to become a stable voltage value.
