Abstract: The present invention provides a customizing system and a customizing method for converting a desktop application into a web application. A required processing logic may be added by locating an interface element which is needed to be modified, and modifying a callback function of the interface element (interface description data), so as to implement user's operations on local data by a web application. When a user operates on the modified interface element at a browser side, the added processing logic automatically converts the user's operation to a plurality of operations, so that the user may feel that he is operating on a local file at the browser side, rather than a remote file at a server side. The present invention may implement complex webpage function customization, and thus may implement remote operations on local data.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a method, an apparatus and a system for identifying a Graphical User Interface (GUI) element. According to an aspect of the present invention, a method of generating a GUI element identification information comprises: displaying a GUI which includes a target GUI element; analyzing the displayed GUI, to acquire attribute information for the target GUI element; acquiring extra information, other than the attribute information, related to the target GUI element; and processing the attribute information and the extra information to generate the identification information for the target GUI element.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and a method for desktop application migration, which are divided to a development phase and an actual runtime phase. During the development phase, interface description data of each window are dumped by traversing all windows of a desktop application; a raw template is semi-automatically generated using the interface description data of each window; it is further designated manually and/or according to rules which parts are “data-type interface elements” based on the raw template, so as to form a final template. During the actual runtime phase, the interface description data of the desktop application are obtained in real time, and values and attribute information of the “data-type interface elements” are dumped therefrom for filling in the template, in order to form a finally-presented webpage. The present invention significantly improves efficiency of creating a new web application and saves development costs by semi-automatically generating the templates.

Abstract: A natural language based location query system and a method thereof. The system comprises a receiving device which receives a request for natural language query from a user terminal; an access device which accesses a location ontology base and a location query language base that are external to the system or internal in the system, wherein the location ontology base comprising knowledge descriptions about the field of a location service, and the location query language base comprising a language model for the location service query; a natural language query processing device which performs at least one of a fuzzy processing and an indirection processing on the received request for natural language query by searching the location ontology base and the location query language base with the access device, retrieves location information corresponding to the request from a location database; and a sending device which sends the location information to the user terminal.

Abstract: The invention provides a map knowledge base generating device and a method thereof, and a traffic information query system and a method thereof. The traffic information query system, comprises: a map knowledge base generating section for generating knowledge related to attributes of roads and traffic points, attribute values corresponding to the attributes, and spatial information of the attribute values based on an electronic map so as to form a map knowledge base; and a traffic query processing section for receiving and analyzing a query form a user terminal, decomposing the query if it is determined that the query can be decomposed according to the map knowledge base, and searching a traffic information database according to the decomposed the query request.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for converting a desktop application to a Web application. The method comprises: inputting, at a client side, URL of a desired desktop application and sending it to a server; the server providing a code conversion tool (e.g. JavaScript code) to the client and loading the desktop application; at the server, extracting interface information of the loaded desktop application, wrapping the interface information to data in an interface descriptive language format (e.g. XML data), and sending the wrapped data back to the client; and at the client, parsing the XML data by utilizing the code conversion tool to generate relevant webpage elements (e.g. HTML data), so as to display the desktop application. In another embodiment, the server can directly run the code conversion tool to implement the code conversion from XML data to HTML webpage elements.
