In the method, a plurality of viewpoints to be evaluated for a target sampling point are obtained. The target sampling point is located on a rough geometric model. A spatial characteristic of the target sampling point is obtained based on spatial relationships between the plurality of viewpoints to be evaluated and the target sampling point. An image characteristic of the target sampling point is extracted from a target captured image based on a plurality of pre-acquisition viewpoints. The pre-acquisition viewpoints are obtained based on poses of a camera capturing the target captured image. The target captured image is an image containing the target sampling point. The predicting reconstructability for the target sample point is predicted based on the image characteristic and the spatial characteristic.

The method includes obtaining multiple surface points of a proxy model within a viewpoint range of a virtual viewpoint. For each surface point, a photometric error among multiple photometric information corresponding to the surface point is determined. The multiple photometric information refers to the photometric information of the surface point at multiple visible acquisition viewpoints respectively. The visible collection viewpoint are those acquisition viewpoints where the surface point is visible among the multiple acquisition viewpoints. Based on the photometric error, a viewing angle similarity and a resolution similarity between the virtual viewpoint and the visible acquisition viewpoints with respect to the surface point are determined.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for determining UAV acquisition viewpoints, a computer apparatus, and a storage medium. In the method, target sampling points to be reconstructed are determined from multiple sampling points to be selected on a surface of a scene model based on the reconstructability of the sampling points to be selected. For the target sampling points, multiple new initial acquisition viewpoints are determined. Target acquisition viewpoints are selected from the multiple initial acquisition viewpoints based on viewpoint scores of the initial acquisition viewpoints. The reconstructability of unselected sampling points to be selected are determined. Then the step of determining the target sampling points to be reconstructed based on the reconstructability of the sampling points to be selected and subsequent steps are repeated until a quantity of the sampling points to be selected with the reconstructability less than a preset threshold meets a preset condition.

    Abstract: An image texture generation method based on a 3D simplified model and a related device. In the embodiments, after planes are extracted from the simplified model, a group of optimal views need to be selected for each extracted plane. Then, it is necessary to align straight line features on the image. Finally, image stitching and texture optimizing are performed to generate a photo-level texture for the simplified model. The main processing object is city building. Compared with the prior art with a uniform mesh, the embodiments have the mesh with a higher degree of freedom, such that the straight line structure features of large-scale buildings can be aligned better, greatly reducing the storage and computing costs of 3D model of large city buildings and making the 3D simplified model have the visual effect comparable to that of the high-precision model.

    Abstract: In a low power hardware architecture for handling accumulation overflows in a convolver unit, an accumulator of the convolver unit computes a running total by successively summing dot products from a dot product computation module during an accumulation cycle. In response to the running total overflowing the maximum or minimum value of a data storage element, the accumulator transmits an overflow indicator to a controller and sets its output equal to a positive or negative overflow value. In turn, the controller disables the dot product computation module by clock gating, clamping one of its inputs to zero and/or holding its inputs to constant values. At the end of the accumulation cycle, the output of the accumulator is sampled. In response to a clear signal being asserted, the dot product computation module is enabled, and the running total is set to zero for the start of the next accumulation cycle.
