Abstract: A method of making a lamp stand or other craftwork. The method begins by mixing materials with the following weight ratios: 1-10 kilograms of powdered Magnesia Usta; 1-10 kilograms of liquid magnesium chloride; 1-5 kilograms of glass quartz sand; 7-10 milliliters of activator; 5-50 milliliters of retarder; glass fiber and a paint for tinting. Next, the mixed materials are poured into a molded blowing die of the lamp stand and left within the die to solidify for approximately 3 to 5 hours. Next, the molded lamp stand is removed from the die. French chalk and de-foaming agent may be added to the mixed materials.

Abstract: A monitor system for monitoring riverbed elevation changes at bridge piers is revealed. The monitor system includes a container, a rail, a holder, a photographic unit, a processor and a transmission unit. The container is disposed at a pier under the water and the rail is mounted in the container. The holder is arranged at the rail and is moved on the rail. The photographic unit is disposed on the holder to capture a monitor image of a riverbed under the water. As to the processor, it processes the monitor image so as to learn elevation change of the riverbed under the water. By the transmission unit, the riverbed elevation change is sent to a remote monitor unit so as to get the riverbed elevation according to the riverbed elevation change. Thus the riverbed elevation change at the bridge pier is monitored in real time.

Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder device includes a cylinder, an axle and two blade units. The cylinder includes a chamber with a cross-sectional shape like a circle overlapping another circle. The axle is inserted through the cylinder. The axle includes two opposite grooves defined therein. Each of blade units includes a blade, a primary roller and a secondary roller. The blade is movably disposed in a related one of the grooves and made with a groove defined in a side close to an internal side of the cylinder. The secondary roller is disposed in the groove. The primary roller is disposed in the groove so that the primary roller is in contact with the secondary roller on one hand and in contact with the cylinder on the other hand.

Abstract: A ball connect device for a linear guideway comprises: at least one ribbon-shaped connecting portion in which being formed a plurality of retaining holes for retaining a plurality of balls, and a plurality ring portions being protruded out a surface of the connecting portion and each of the ring portions being formed around the respective retaining holes to circle around the balls. The retaining holes each has two open ends that are located at both sides of the ribbon-shaped connecting portion, a diameter of one of the two open ends is near a diameter of the balls for easy installation of the balls into the ball connect device, and a diameter of another one of the two open ends is smaller than the diameter of the balls so as to prevent disengagement of the balls.

Abstract: An image display method including following steps is provided. A backlight of a display panel is adaptively adjusted according to a backlight adjustment factor related to the intensity value of an external light and the brightness of an original image. Brightness factors of the original image are corrected according to the adjustment of the backlight, and the original image is reset by using the corrected brightness factors and original color factors. Thereby, the problem of image distortion caused by backlight adjustment can be reduced.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a first process control unit to send and receive a control signal, a battery electrically connected to the first process control unit to provide electrical power for the first process control unit, and a charging unit to charge the battery. The charge control unit comprises a charging procedure to control a work mode of the charging unit. A switch is electrically connected to the first process control unit and the charging unit to decide whether the charging unit works or not, and a first connecting port electrically connected to the first process control unit and the switch, to transmit a control signal, a digital signal and a power signal.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer usable program code for generating an execution plan graph from a data flow. A metadata representation of the data flow is generated in response to receiving the data flow. A set of code units is generated from the metadata representation. Each code unit in the set of code units is executable on multiple different types of runtime engines. The set of code units is processed to produce the execution plan graph.

In one implementation, the method includes identifying a data exchange requirement between a first operator and a second operator in the data flow. The first operator is a graphical object that represents a first data transformation step in the data flow and is associated with a first type of runtime engine, and the second operator is a graphical object that represents a second data transformation step in the date flow and is associated with a second type of runtime engine. The method further includes generating code to manage data staging between the first operator and the second operator in the data flow. The code exchanges data from a format associated with the first type of runtime engine to a format associated with the second type of runtime engine.

Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing a splitter operation in an extract, transform, and load (ETL) process are provided. In one implementation, the method includes receiving a data flow including a splitter operation, and generating an execution plan graph based on the data flow. The execution plan graph includes structured query language (SQL) code for implementing the splitter operation, in which the structured query language (SQL) code is respectively executable among database servers associated with different vendors.

Two pairs of circular recesses are respectively defined in opposite ends of the upper and lower faces of the casing. A close water guiding groove is defined in the upper and lower faces and opposite side faces of the casing connecting the circular recesses. Abstract: A small protein skimmer for aquiculture includes a sealed body, a liquid-gas mixed pump motor, a protein foam collection device and a suspensory support. The sealed body is divided into foam generated grooves and flow gathered grooves by partitions, and the generated grooves connect with the flow gathered grooves at ends thereof. The liquid-gas mixed pump motor is mounted on bottoms of the foam generated grooves for pumping water and forming a liquid-gas mixed water flow in the foam generated grooves. The logical operators are independent of the plurality of runtime environments. The graph is converted to a model. The logical operators are converted to model operators associated with the multiple runtime environments. The model operators allow for analysis of operations for the mixed data flow. The model is converted into an execution plan graph. The execution plan graph is executable on different runtime environments.
