    Abstract: The present invention discloses a multifunctional card reader, which is operated with a PIN-pad by a user, to offer a total self-service to the user. The multifunctional card reader comprises a holding portion, a first sensing device and a plurality of indicators. The holding portion holds the PIN-pad when the PIN-pad is not used. The first sensing device senses a payment card by a contactless technique and receives the account information stored on the payment card. The indicators inform the user of verification of account information.
