In an example, a method for forming a 3D memory device is disclosed. A dielectric stack is formed on a substrate. The dielectric stack includes a plurality of interleaved dielectric layers and sacrificial layers. An opening extending vertically through the dielectric stack is formed. A shallow recess is formed by removing a part of a sacrificial layer abutting a sidewall of the opening. The sacrificial layer is at a lower portion of the dielectric stack. A semiconductor plug is formed at a lower portion of the opening. A part of the semiconductor plug protrudes into the shallow recess. A channel structure is formed above and in contact with the semiconductor plug in the opening. A memory stack including a plurality of conductor/dielectric layer pairs is formed by replacing, with a plurality of conductor layers, the sacrificial layers in the dielectric stack.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a genetically engineered a KASIII-independent fatty acid biosynthetic pathway that makes use of the promiscuous nature of the rest of the FAS enzymes (3-ketoacyl-ACP synthetase, 3-ketoacyl-ACP reductase, 3-hydroxyacyl ACP dehydrase, enoyl-ACP reductase) to bypass the KASIII step by providing a Co-A precursor of two or higher than two carbons (such as the four carbon butyryl-CoA) as the starting molecule. Since many CoA-based starter molecules can be supplied for the fatty acid synthesis, much more diversified products can be obtained with various carbon-chain lengths. As such, this disclosure will serve as a powerful and efficient platform to produce low to medium chain length products carrying many different functional groups.

Accordingly, upon receipt of a door opening command received from a user interface, the motor drives the gear to engage with the resilient member and open the door. The door opening mechanism includes components that are free from contact with other systems of the appliance. For example, in a microwave oven, the door opening system components may be free from contact with a door latch and an interlock switch system.

The method for regenerating the catalyst includes: calcinating the catalyst with deactivated carbon deposit in an oxidizing atmosphere to remove all the carbonaceous portions on the surface, and repeating the above preparation process of the catalyst.
