  • Publication number: 20210283275
Abstract: The present invention provides for the use of hydroxyapatite-selective fluorescent dyes in combination with fluorescence lifetime imaging to detect any hydroxyapatite spherules or hydroxyapatite deposits in the retina tissue of a subject, including the peripheral or macula tissue, wherein the hydroxyapatite spherules or hydroxyapatite deposits initiate or support the growth of sub-RPE deposits and correlates with age-related macular degeneration and/or Alzheimer's disease.

  • Publication number: 20210142422
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide computerized transaction optimization. Embodiments can include compiling a list of transaction scenarios. A list of transaction types is identified based on the transaction scenarios. A list of subjects is identified from the transaction types. A transaction scenario table is then created, where the transaction scenario table includes an entry for transaction type. Multiple transaction type groups are formed, where each transaction type group includes multiple transaction types. A transaction type table is created, where the transaction type table includes the transaction type groups, and corresponding balance types. A list of artifacts is identified for one or more institutions. A mapping of artifacts to transaction types is then performed, where the transaction types are based on the transaction scenarios. In this way, a more comprehensive and improved understanding of products and services based on transaction rules is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7491545
Abstract: A highly selective and sensitive of a carbonic anhydrase-based method for measurement of zinc ion by an excitation ratiometric format based on resonance energy transfer: i.e., where the zinc ion level is transduced as the ratio of fluorescence intensities excited at two different excitation wavelengths, is provided. The method can be used very well in a fluorescence microscopy format. A detection limit of about 10 pM in zinc buffered systems, a ten to one thousand-fold improvement on the Fura indicators (which respond to Ca and Mg as well), and a one hundred thousand-fold improvement on the recently described FuraZin-1 is achieved.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2003
Date of Patent: February 17, 2009
