  • Publication number: 20250150967
Abstract: A method and system for restricted target wake time (r-TWT) coordination where a first AP in a basic service set (BSS) respects an r-TWT schedule of a second AP, where the second AP is in an overlapping basic service set (OBSS). The first AP acquires the r-TWT schedule of the second AP and indicates to the second AP that the first AP respects the r-TWT schedule of the second AP. The first AP provides to a station associated with the first AP an indication of the r-TWT schedule of the second AP to cause a frame exchange with the STA of the first AP to end at a beginning of a r-TWT service period of the second AP to respect the r-TWT schedule of the second AP.

  • Publication number: 20250150197
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for generating trigger frames that solicit PPDUs from one or more client devices. In an example method, a trigger frame is generated in accordance with the IEEE 802.11bn amendment (UHR) to the IEEE 802.11 standard. The method begins by determining a time duration requirement (or padding field length requirement) for preparing an uplink transmission from a client device. A trigger frame is generated (e.g., by an access point) that includes a frame check sequence (FCS) field, a padding field, and an intermediate FCS value that is included in the padding field. In an example, the dedicated fields of the trigger frame do not explicitly indicate the location of the intermediate FCS value. For a protected trigger frame, a MIC value is further included in the padding field. In other examples, the intermediate FCS value is included within one or more User Info fields of the trigger frame.

  • Publication number: 20250106613
Abstract: Non-access point (non-AP) multi-link device (MLD) roaming among a serving AP MLD and a target AP MLD of a roaming domain is disclosed. Links are set up from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD. The non-AP MLD affiliated with the roaming domain initiates a link-level roaming setting up a link to the target AP MLD, wherein respective links are set up from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD and target AP MLD. A type of links from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD and target AP MLD is announced and the non-AP MLD terminates all links between the non-AP MLD and the serving AP MLD where the non-AP MLD has links set up only with the target AP MLD to complete the link-level roaming.

Abstract: A method and system for announcing, by a first wireless device, one or more non-primary channel access (NPCA) primary channels of a basic service set (BSS) operating channel for frame transmission. A determination is made that the primary channel is busy and switching to a NPCA primary channel in response to the primary channel being busy and overlapping BSS activity. • Publication number: 20240365103
Abstract: A non-access point (non-AP) multi-link device (MLD) is arranged to roam within a roaming AP MLD comprising a plurality of AP MLDs. The non-access point MLD receives from the roaming AP MLD an announcement. In an example, the announcement indicates that the roaming AP supports one of a link level roaming and MLD roaming within the roaming AP MLD. Based on the announcement, the non-AP MLD sends a roaming request to the roaming AP MLD, where the roaming request indicates one of the link level roaming and MLD roaming. A roaming response is received from the roaming AP MLD where the response indicates at least one new link established from the non-AP MLD to the roaming AP MLD. Based on the new link which is established, the non-AP MLD exchanges frames with the roaming AP MLD.
