    Abstract: A method for data encryption, a terminal device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method includes: obtaining data to be encrypted, where the data to be encrypted includes a plurality of character strings obtained by dividing the data to be encrypted according to a first target position; extracting an initial random number according to a target character string of the plurality of character strings; generating a plurality of keys used for the plurality of character strings according to the initial random number and a plurality of key generation strategies, where the plurality of character strings correspond to the plurality of key generation strategies, respectively; and using the plurality of keys used for the plurality of character strings to encrypt the plurality of character strings respectively to obtain target encrypted data. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the security of encrypted data may be improved.
