Abstract: A trimmer apparatus comprises a base having a top surface, a cutting assembly engaged with the base, and a flexible and resilient line guide. The cutting assembly includes a blade moveable with respect to the base along a cutting path. Additionally, the line guide is coupled to the base or the cutting assembly and positioned along the cutting path to provide a visual indication of the cutting path of the blade. The trimmer apparatus may be a rotary or guillotine style trimmer.

Abstract: A dual electric puncher punches two or three holes without readjustment. The dual purpose electric puncher includes a housing, an activation button, a motor, a group of three punch assemblies, and a group of two punch assemblies. Three punches are aligned along one side of the platform, and two punches are aligned along the opposite side of the platform. A gap allowing paper access to three punches is from one side of the dual purpose electric puncher, and another gap allowing access to two other punches is from the other, opposing side of the puncher. All five punches are activated simultaneously by the activation button.

Abstract: An improved manually operated trigger sprayer includes an ergonomic trigger having an hourglass exterior finger gripping surface that can significantly reduce or eliminate the fatigue associate with prolonged use of trigger sprayers. The trigger can include gripping elements made of elastomeric material for improved security. The dimensions are such that the consumer can use two or three fingers to operate the trigger.

Abstract: Mechanisms and techniques allow a data storage system to detect errors in data received for storage within the data storage system. To do so, the data storage system receives, from an originator application operating on a server computer system, portions of data which comprise an application data block which is to be written to storage in the data storage system. In conjunction with the data received at the data storage system, the data storage system also receives application error checking information which the originator application generates on the data within the application data block. The application error checking information may be, for example, checksum information embedded within one or more portions of the data which comprise the application data block. Upon receipt of the data and the application error checking information, the data storage system generates data storage error checking information on the data within all portions of data which comprise the application data block.

Abstract: A hand operated combination two-and-three-hole puncher for making holes in paper and other sheet materials is shown and described. The two-hole punch assembly and the three-hole punch assembly are fixedly disposed on the common platform either in-line, or at a predetermined angle, to each other in such manner that both punch assemblies share a common punch subassembly and a common foot. The common punch subassembly could be activated using either the press lever frame of the two-hole punch assembly or the press lever frame of the three-hole punch assembly thus enabling the common punch subassembly to punch a hole in the process of the two-hole perforation or the three-hole perforation without the readjustment.

Abstract: A stamp affixer apparatus and method is disclosed. A top shell, bottom shell attached to the top shell, and a stamp housing is provided. A first gear assembly is rotatably attached to the stamp housing. A second gear assembly is engaged with the first gear assembly and rotatably attached to the stamp housing. A drive roller is fixedly attached to the second gear assembly. A roll of adhesive backed stamps on backing paper may be inserted in a portion of the stamp housing. A lead-in portion of the backing paper is attached to a shaft portion of the first gear assembly. As the drive roller is pulled along a desired surface, its rotation is translated through the second gear assembly to the first gear assembly. The first gear assembly winds up the backing paper and an adhesive backed stamp is dispensed against the surface.

Abstract: A rotary paper trimmer for cutting sheet material and method of using the trimmer is disclosed. The rotary paper trimmer has a base, a pressure pad, and a blade holder assembly. The pressure pad has a guide rail and a gear track attached to its upper surface. A blade holder assembly has a outer shell slidably attached to the guide rail, a shaft rotatably attached to the shell, a circular blade attached to the shell and adjacent a lateral edge of the base, and a gear attached to the shaft. As the blade holder assembly is slid on the guide rail the gear engages with the gear track and rotates the shaft and circular blade to cut sheet material inserted between the pressure pad and base.

Abstract: The invention provides a label dispenser for separating adhesive backed labels from their backing paper and method of operating the same. The label dispenser comprises a base, and a body attached to a top surface of the base and having a motor housing portion, a microswitch housing portion, and an upper tray portion. A gear motor is enclosed in the motor housing portion and has an opening for receiving a shaft. The shaft extends outside the motor housing portion and below the upper tray portion through an opening formed in a side wall of the motor housing portion. A microswitch is attached to an inner wall of the microswitch housing portion. The microswitch is electrically connected to the motor and has a lever arm extending upward into an opening formed in the microswitch housing portion.
