  • Publication number: 20150259635
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of preparing ginkgo fermented liquor, the method including: preparing ginkgo hydrolysate by mixing ginkgo with heat-tolerant amylase to allow an enzyme reaction at a temperature from about 70° C. to about 100° C.; and mixing the ginkgo hydrolysate with a fermentation strain to allow fermentation. According to the embodiment, use of the heat-tolerant ?-amylase leads to production of hydrolysate at a high temperature, and accordingly, hydrolysis and solubility of the resultant may be improved. In addition, the resultant is prevented from being contaminated with other microorganisms, thereby preventing decomposition of ginkgo and preparing ginkgo fermented liquor having ginkgo's own taste and flavor and a physiologically active material.

  • Patent number: 8815795
Abstract: A composition for preventing or treating an eye disease includes adiponectin as an active ingredient. Adiponectin as an active ingredient is eventually revealed to show prevention or therapeutic efficacies for eye diseases such as dry eye (syndrome), inflammatory eye disease and side effects due to the use of contact lenses by promoting tear secretion, alleviating ocular surface irregularities, decreasing inflammatory cytokines on the ocular surface and lacrimal gland, and increasing conjunctival goblet cell density. In addition, the composition having eye contact lubrication effects may be used as cleaners or lubricants for preventing non-bacterial inflammation due to wearing contact lenses.

  • Patent number: 5683988
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anti-sense oligodeoxynucleotide to mRNA for one of major fibrogenic cytokines, TGF-.beta., which is secreted in large quantities in wound portion and then stimulates the fibrinoid degeneration of the tissue. The anti-sense oligodeoxynucleotide according to the present invention is complementarily bound to mRNA of TGF-.beta. to inhibit the genetic expression thereof and thus can inhibit the scarring due to the production of fibrogenic cytokines and the fibrinoid degeneration at the wound portion to treat the wound portion so as to have an appearance substantially identical to the normal tissue. Accordingly, the present invention also relates to the use of anti-sense oligodeoxynucleotide to TGF-.beta. as a scarring inhibitor.
