Patent number: 7996030Abstract: A system and method for reducing call establishment delay in wireless network is provided, in which a network node establishes a call to a wireless terminal controlled by an AP via a server. The wireless terminal notifies the server of its listen interval. In the power saving mode, the wireless terminal wakes up every listen interval and listen the beacon to check whether any buffered packet for it. When the wireless terminal learns from the beacon that there are packets waiting, it communicates with the access point to retrieve them. The server records a listen time at which the wireless terminal will wake up and listen to the AP based on the listen interval. When a network node calls the wireless terminal, the server buffers the request for a time interval based on the listen time, and then sends the request to the wireless terminal.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2009Date of Patent: August 9, 2011Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Tai-Xing Yu, Ting-Kai Hung, Hung-Chi Hsu, Shiao-Li Tsao

Patent number: 7894841Abstract: A system and method for reducing call establishment delay in wireless network is provided, in which a network node establishes a call to a wireless terminal controlled by an AP via a sever. The server records a listen time at which the wireless terminal will wake tip and listen to the AP based on the listen interval. When a network node calls the wireless terminal, the server buffers the request for a time interval based on the listen time, and then sends the request to the wireless terminal.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2009Date of Patent: February 22, 2011Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Tai-Xing Yu, Ting-Kai Hung, Hung-Chi Hsu, Shiao-Li Tsao

Publication number: 20080244918Abstract: A handsaw includes a saw body, and an alignment and calibration device detachably mounted on the saw body. The saw body includes a handle and a blade mounted on the handle. The alignment and calibration device includes a housing detachably mounted on the handle of the saw body, a light emitting member mounted on the housing to emit a linear light beam outwardly, a plurality of adjusting screws adjustably mounted on a first side of the housing, and a level mounted on a second side of the housing. Thus, the alignment and calibration device is combined with the saw body to guide the sawing direction of the blade and is operated individually to form a vertical indication line, thereby enhancing the versatility of the handsaw.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2007Publication date: October 9, 2008Inventors: Hung-Chi Hsu, Hung-Lung Hsu

Publication number: 20080241038Abstract: This present invention provides the preparation of a manganese oxide-ferric oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst and a process for subjecting carbon monoxide and oxygen to interaction resulting in the formation of carbon dioxide in a hydrogen-rich environment by a manganese oxide-ferric oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst to remove carbon monoxide in hydrogen stream. The size of the nano-gold particle is less than 5 nm and supported on mixed oxides MnO2/Fe2O3 in various molar ratios. Preferential oxidation of CO in the presence of CO, O2 and H2 by the manganese oxide-ferric oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst is carried out in a fixed-bed reactor in the process of the present invention. The O2/CO molar ratio is in the range of 0.5 to 4. The manganese oxide-ferric oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst of the present invention is applied to reduce CO concentration in hydrogen steam to less than 100 ppm to prevent CO from contaminating the electrodes of a fuel cell.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2007Publication date: October 2, 2008Applicant: Tatung CompanyInventors: Yu-Wen Chen, Min-Hsien Lin, Hung-Chi Hsu, Jia-Hong Lin

The size of the nano-gold particle is less than 5 nm and supported on mixed oxides MnO2/CeO2 in various molar ratios. Preferential oxidation of CO in the presence of CO, O2 and H2 by the manganese oxide-cerium oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst is carried out in a fixed-bed reactor in the process of the present invention. The CO/O2 molar ratio is in the range of 0.5 to 3. The manganese oxide-cerium oxide-supported nano-gold catalyst of the present invention is applied to reduce CO concentration in hydrogen steam to less than 100 ppm to prevent CO from contaminating the electrodes of a fuel cell.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2007Publication date: August 14, 2008Applicant: Tatung CompanyInventors: Yu-Wen Chen, Min-Hsien Lin, Hung-Chi Hsu, Jia-Hong Lin -

Publication number: 20060089169Abstract: A method and a system of providing cellular/wireless network dual mode communication services are provided. The wireless network interface normally stays in the standby mode, and the cellular interface is closed. When receiving calls, the cellular system receives the calls and wakes up the wireless network system to communicate to the calls. Hence, the power consumption of the dual mode phone is minimized.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2005Publication date: April 27, 2006Inventors: Shiao-Li Tsao, Hung-Chi Hsu, Chien-Chan Hsu
