  • Publication number: 20120017224
Abstract: A disc player with light-sensing type loading mechanism includes a casing, a control board, a slide mechanism and a light-sensing element. The light-sensing element is adopted to serve as a switch controlling the slide mechanism to reciprocate between a loading area and a reading area. The disc to be loaded is detected by an optical manner instead of physical. The invention may increase durability of a disc player.

  • Patent number: 8095943
Abstract: A slot-in optical disk drive includes a holding mechanism, a main body and a sliding module. The holding mechanism includes a disk slotting opening, two sliding rails and two slope rails. The main body and the sliding module are held by the holding mechanism. The main body includes a shelf, a disk reading unit and a main spindle motor. The sliding module includes a sliding base, two clamp sheets and a driving unit, each clamp sheet having a pivot end, a free end opposite to the pivot end and a sliding block. If the sliding block is at the sliding rail, the free end of the clamp sheet and the sliding base are closed up; and if the sliding block is at the slope rail, the free end of the clamp sheet and the sliding base are opened up.

  • Publication number: 20090055850
Abstract: An optical disc drive includes a locking part, a transmission-compensation mechanism, and a horizontal adjustment mechanism. The locking part is used to secure the first chucking portion and the second chucking portion of the disc chucker to the chucker seat. Therefore, the disc chucker keeps the optical disc stably. Besides, the transmission-compensation mechanism makes power of the driving motor be precisely transmitted to the optical pickup head. This effectively eliminates error or distortion during reading the optical disc. Furthermore, the horizontal adjustment mechanism is adopted to easily and efficiently regulate the angle between the optical disc and the optical pickup head.

  • Publication number: 20090044214
Abstract: An optical disk drive has a horizontal adjustment mechanism for a spindle motor formed thereon. The optical disk drive includes a horizontal adjustment mechanism, disposed between a base plate on a traverse module and a securing plate on the spindle motor, to regulate an inclination angle of an optical disc on the spindle motor relative to a laser pickup head.
