  • Patent number: 11942543
Abstract: A high-voltage semiconductor device structure is provided. The high-voltage semiconductor device structure includes a semiconductor substrate, a source ring in the semiconductor substrate, and a drain region in the semiconductor substrate. The high-voltage semiconductor device structure also includes a doped ring surrounding sides and a bottom of the source ring and a well region surrounding sides and bottoms of the drain region and the doped ring. The well region has a conductivity type opposite to that of the doped ring. The high-voltage semiconductor device structure further includes a conductor electrically connected to the drain region and extending over and across a periphery of the well region. In addition, the high-voltage semiconductor device structure includes a shielding element ring between the conductor and the semiconductor substrate. The shielding element ring extends over and across the periphery of the well region.

  • Patent number: 7401195
Abstract: A portable data storage device includes a control unit coupled via a predetermined interface with a computer having an operating system with user authority limits, and a memory divided into a segment I for storing related applications, a public segment II for temporarily storing instructions and data, and a hidden segment III for saving client data. In a method of accessing data via the portable data storage device, when the computer is to write data into or read data from the segment III, the data to be written or read is first temporarily stored in the segment II, and specific read or write instructions for a read/write level application interface are written into the segment II by the applications in the segment I and executed, so as to complete data exchange and access between the portable data storage device and the computer.

  • Patent number: 7293710
Abstract: A method of overcurrent protection for multi-slot flash memory card reader mainly includes integrating overcurrent protection circuit and power-supply circuit for the multiple slots of the card reader into one single control chip; and, when the overcurrent protection circuit detects an overcurrent at a particular slot, cutting off power supply to that particular slot of the card reader and enabling an overcurrent state register, so that a signal is provided to firmware in the control chip to display an icon of the card reader on a computer as a state indicating an abnormal condition. Whereby, the card reader and a flash memory card inserted therein, or other apparatus connected thereto would not be damaged when an overcurrent occurs, and a user may clearly know the exact point on the card reader where the overcurrent occurs.

  • Publication number: 20050172051
Abstract: A method of data transmission for transmitting data between a host and a consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface via an interconnecting interface that has an end being a USB for connecting to the host. The method includes the steps of generating an instruction by the host; sending the instruction to the consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface via the interconnecting interface; and verifying the instruction at the consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface and then executing any movement requested by the instruction, and feeding back a signal of executing result to the host. Therefore, a consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface may be connected to a host for data transmission at reduced cost.

  • Publication number: 20050091061
Abstract: A digital sound file playback reproducer includes a housing in which at least a connection port, a sound source output unit, and a processing unit are provided. The connection port is adapted to connect with an external recording medium having sound filed stored thereon. The processing unit picks up and processes the sound files in the externally connected recording medium, and sends the processed sound files to the sound source output unit. Since the digital sound file playback reproducer does not include an internal memory, a consumer of existing recording media, such as memory cards and USB flash disks, could buy it without wasting money in repeated memory.
