  • Patent number: 5488881
Abstract: A mechanical transmission mechanism with rolling unit includes an input member, an output member and a transmission medium for transmitting a mechanical input. The input member includes a driving gear which is enveloped in a casing with a peripheral channel that is confined between a partial circumference of the driving gear and an inner face of the casing. The casing has two openings formed on both ends of the peripheral channel and connected respectively and tangentially to a pair of guide channels so as to form a guide path that extends between the input and output members. The transmission medium is a plurality of rolling bodies which are packed in the guide path and which are disposed alternatingly in juxtaposed lines along the guide path. Each of the rolling bodies is in rolling contact with adjacent rolling bodies.

  • Patent number: 5358459
Abstract: A mechanic drive apparatus includes a driving shaft and a hollow rotatable housing which has a rear side mounted on one end of the driving shaft. An output shaft extends into the rotatable housing and is mounted rotatably thereto. The output shaft is aligned axially with the driving shaft. A driven gear is mounted fixedly on the output shaft and is disposed inside the rotatable housing. A pair of driven transmission shafts are disposed on opposite edges of the driven gear. Each of the driven transmission shafts is provided with a worm segment that extends into the rotatable housing and that meshes with the driven gear. A pair of intermediate shafts are mounted rotatably to the rotatable housing in a direction which is transverse to the output shaft. A small bevel gear is mounted fixedly on each of the intermediate shafts. A pair of belt drive units transmit the rotating force of the intermediate shafts to the driven transmission shafts.

  • Patent number: 5267919
Abstract: An infinitely variable-speed mechanic drive apparatus is capable of providing a positive non-slip drive and includes a support; a driving shaft mounted rotatably on the support; a driven gear mounted axially and rotatably on the driving shaft; an intermediate transmission member disposed in a transverse direction to and mounted rotatably on the driving shaft. The intermediate transmission member includes an intermediate shaft, a driving wheel mounted rotatably on and shiftable in an axial direction of the intermediate shaft, the driving wheel being in frictional contact with the support, a biasing member biasing the driving wheel towards the axis of the driving shaft, and a driven transmission shaft rotatable around an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the intermediate shaft. The driven transmission shaft has a worm member which meshes with the driven gear, and a first drive member transmitting the rotating force of the driving wheel to the driven transmission shaft.
