  • Publication number: 20220105085
Abstract: The disclosure relates to dosage forms which include one or more cohesion agents in amounts effective to reduce the likelihood and ease of extraction of an opioid agonist therefrom. The dosage forms exhibit improved resistance to abuse and lesser likelihood of accidental overdosing than similar dosage forms lacking a cohesion agent. Dosage forms including a lipid or waxy component, a cellulose-based release inhibitor, a thixotrope, one or more cohesion agents, and at least one sequestered opioid antagonist. The dosage forms capable of inhibiting or reducing extraction, abuse, or overdose involving the opioid agonist over a broad range of temperatures are disclosed. • Publication number: 20210052232
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a computed tomography (CT) imaging module. The CT imaging module may have a light sensor array to detect photons within a CT imaging system and may produce a plurality of signals based on the detected photons. A switching/multiplexing element may receive the plurality of signals and multiplex the plurality of signals for signal processing. The multiplexing of the plurality of signals may provide for less interconnections for the light sensors within the light sensor array, thereby reducing the risk of reliability failure of the interconnections. Further, fewer signal processing circuitry elements may be utilized for processing the plurality of signals, allowing the CT imaging module to take up less space.

  • Publication number: 20170319260
Abstract: According to one configuration, a controller controls use of multiple medical devices at a medical site. For example, a first medical device at the medical site is operable to perform one or more tissue ablation operations; a second medical device at the medical site is operable to perform non-ablation operations (such as tissue monitoring operations). The controller implements a control sequence to control switching between different operational modes including a first mode and a second mode. The first mode and corresponding first windows of time enable the first medical device to perform an ablation operation; the second mode and corresponding windows of time disable the first medical device from performing the ablation operation so that the second medical device operates without interference from the first medical device performing the ablation operation.

  • Patent number: 9405192
Abstract: A method for fabricating a radiation-cured structure is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a first radiation-sensitive material and a second radiation-sensitive material adjacent the first radiation-sensitive material. At least one mask is placed between at least one radiation source and the first and second radiation-sensitive materials. The mask has a plurality of substantially radiation-transparent apertures. The first and second radiation-sensitive materials are then exposed to a plurality of radiation beams through the radiation-transparent apertures in the mask to form a first construct in the first radiation-sensitive material and a second construct in the second radiation-sensitive material. The first construct and the second construct cooperate to form the radiation-cured structure.

  • Patent number: 9195954
Abstract: Operator authorizations are autonomically adjusted in many ways to automatically account for many different variables. Operator authorization may be adjusted according to an operator's past activity record so previous experience is not lost when the operator is rehired. Operator authorization may be adjusted according to the operator's quality and performance. Operator authorization may also be adjusted by recognizing similar operations to those the operator is authorized to perform, and authorizing the operator to perform one or more similar operations. Operator authorization may also be adjusted to a lesser level or may be revoked for an operation based on the passage of time. A manufacturing system may efficiently track operators taking into account different activity periods, the passage of time, the operator's performance, and similar operations to autonomically adjust the authorization of the operators as needed.

  • Publication number: 20150138010
Abstract: A technique for sensing a moving object within a physical environment using a MIMO communication link includes generating a channel matrix based upon channel state information of the MIMO communication link. The physical environment operates as a communication medium through which communication signals of the MIMO communication link propagate between a transmitter and a receiver. A spatial information variable is generated for the MIMO communication link based on the channel matrix. The spatial information variable includes spatial information about the moving object within the physical environment. A signature for the moving object is generated based on values of the spatial information variable accumulated over time. The moving object is identified based upon the signature.

  • Patent number: 8810187
Abstract: A stepper motor system and apparatus use a position-feedback device, which may have a resolution capability as low as 200 counts per motor shaft revolution, for misstep detection and motor step recovery. In use of the system, position deviation is computed periodically and cyclically, by subtracting the feedback position from the corresponding commanded position, to determine the load angle, implicitly, and the operating status of the motor. If the load angle is within an established allowable range of values, normal stepper operation along the programmed trajectory is maintained, without adjustment. A load angle that exceeds the limits of that range however indicates that a misstep has occurred, and the system controller initiates immediate action to recover lost motor steps, to reestablish synchronism, and to then continue toward the final target position, with minimal loss of time.

  • Patent number: 8744082
Abstract: A system and method for securing wireless communications are provided. A method for secure communications by a first user includes estimating a channel between the first user and a second user based on a pilot signal transmitted by the second user, determining a first threshold and a second threshold based on the estimate of channel, selecting a first subset of channel estimates, signaling the first subset of channel estimates to the second user, receiving a second subset of channel estimates from the second user, for each channel estimate in the second subset of channel estimates, quantizing the channel estimate based on a relationship between a gain of the channel estimate and the first threshold and the second threshold, generating a first secret key based on quantized channel estimates, verifying that the first secret key matches a second secret key generated by the second user, and transmitting information to the second user.
