  • Patent number: 6056181
Abstract: A fastening machine includes a magazine having a sliding member slidably disposed thereto in which an aperture is defined and a coil member is disposed with one end thereof fixedly connected to a top edge of the magazine. An operating member is disposed to the sliding member and has a first tongue extending through the aperture and located between the sliding member and the magazine, and a second tongue extending through the aperture and toward in opposite to the first tongue. A flange extends laterally from the sliding member and receives the second tongue therein. An actuating plate is disposed above the magazine and has a hole defined in an underside thereof, a pin retractably disposed to a top of the magazine with a spring mounted thereto so that when the magazine has no fasteners received therein, the pin will be pushed by the sliding member and inserted into the hole to limit the actuating plate from being moved.

  • Patent number: 5967396
Abstract: A staples adjusting device includes two boards received in the magazine and one of the two boards has a recess defined in the inside thereof, and a concavity is defined in the bottom of the recess. An adjusting plate is movably received between the two boards and has two inclined slots defined in two ends thereof, each of the slots has a boss of an actuating member extending therethrough. A protrusion extends from the actuating member and a rod extends through the protrusion. The rod has a stop extending radially outward therefrom and two springs are mounted to the rod and biased between the stop and the protrusion, and between the inside of the concavity and the protrusion so that when pushing the rod to compress the springs, the adjusting plate is moved to push the staples contacting against the inside of the magazine by moving the two bosses in the two inclined slots so that there will be no gap defined between the staples and the inside of the magazine.

  • Patent number: 5743453
Abstract: A magazine for a staple tacker includes a base portion having a cover slidably disposed thereto, the base portion having a recessed area defined in a bottom thereof and six notches being defined each of the first end wall and second end wall thereof. At least two resilient elements disposed on the recessed area and each of which has a plurality of flexible ribs extending laterally from two opposite sides thereof such that six positioning plates are mounted across between the notches between the first end wall and the second end wall to depress the flexible ribs with a pin movably extending through a slot defined in each of the positioning plates. A control member having a receiving section and a pressing section extends from the second end wall and is pushed by an end cap of the cover when the cover is slidably mounted to the base portion such that the pressing section pressing the pin is moved away from the pin to allow the pin to be raised toward the cover within the receiving section by the flexible ribs.
