Abstract: A video recording apparatus includes a graphics card, a hardware recorder card and a storage device. The graphics card is used to generate a video signal. The hardware recorder card and the graphics card are both placed in a computer. The hardware recorder card includes a video loop-through unit and a bridge. The video loop-through unit captures the video signal from the graphics card and distributes the video signal to the bridge and a display. The storage device is electrically connected to the bridge, and is used to store the video signal via the bridge.

Abstract: A power control method used with a TV module of a portable electronic apparatus is used for selectively entering the TV module in a power-saving mode. At first, the portable electronic apparatus is activated. When the portable electronic apparatus is activated, the power supply condition of the portable electronic apparatus is detected. If the power supply condition of the portable electronic apparatus indicates that an external power source is used, the power-saving mode of the TV module is suspended. Optionally, the power-saving mode of the TV module is suspended if a priority setting condition indicates that play efficiency takes priority.

Abstract: An audio/video streaming signal provision method and an audio/video streaming signal sharing system for use with Internet. The sharing system includes a service management server, multiple sharers and at least a user. The audio/video streaming signal provision method includes the following steps. The user communicates with the service management server through Internet. The service management server generates a sharer set comprising at least the sharer according to an identification data of the user. The user issues a request to the sharer through the service management server. The sharer transmits an audio/video streaming signal to the user through Internet in response to the request.

Abstract: A method and a device for receiving wireless broadcast signals are provided. The device includes a positioning module, a memory storing therein a first information table and a second information table, a signal-receiving and processing module, a processor and a client terminal. The method includes steps of: receiving a first wireless broadcast signal at a first frequency contained in the first information table and presenting contents represented by the first wireless broadcast signal when the device is positioned in a first broadcast area; automatically searching for a second frequency in the second information table when the device is positioned in a second broadcast area wherein the second frequency corresponds to the information associated with the first frequency in the first information table; and receiving a second wireless broadcast signal at the second frequency and presenting contents represented by the second wireless broadcast signal.

Abstract: A video reproducing/recording and playing system and a method thereof for setting and playing video sections are provided. The system includes a host computer with a data buffer and a database, a video module, and a monitor. While continuously receiving video signals, the video module sets a first section index when a scene difference between a first frame and a second frame represented by a portion of the video signals is greater than a predetermined scene difference wherein the first section index points to a start time of the second frame. Then, the video module stores the first section index and stores the video signals corresponding to the second frame into the data buffer. After retrieving the first section index, the monitor presents the video signals from the second frame points by the first section index.

Abstract: A method and a system for proving a broadcasting video program with the internet are provided. The broadcasting video program provision system includes a first data server, a second data server and a portal site. By the first data server, first broadcasting video program signals broadcast in a first area are received and converted into first stream data. By the second data server, second broadcasting video program signals broadcast in a second area are received and converted into second stream data, wherein the first area and the second area are covered by different broadcasting services. In response to an instruction issued from the user's host through the internet, the portal site transmits the first stream data or the second stream data to the user's host through the internet.
