    Abstract: Provided is a universal direction medical positioning structure, including a positioning unit, a switching head, a fixing rod, and a fixing device. The positioning unit includes a support, a connecting rod, and a spherical connecting element. The support and the spherical connecting element are connectable to two ends of the connecting rod, respectively. One end of the switching head is provided therein with a hemispherical cavity for receiving the spherical connecting element, and the other end of the switching head is coupled to the fixing rod. Upon the coupling of the fixing device and the switching head, the spherical connecting element is fixed in position to the hemispherical cavity of the switching head. Hence, the universal direction medical positioning structure is lightweight and easy to operate.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses an image calibration device integrated with an optical locater. The image calibration device includes an image calibrator and the optical locater. The image calibrator can be arranged on an image capturing device to act as a reference to calibrate the image taken by the image capturing device. The optical locater has at least one pointing light source, which is located on a surface of the image calibrator, so that the pointing light source is used to assist in marking the location aimed by the image calibrator, thereby realizing the area captured by the image capturing device.

    Abstract: A method for guiding symmetric implantation of bone screws is provided. The method includes the steps of: providing a spinal image of a spine, wherein the spine has a first bone screw implanted in one side of a spinous process of the spine; obtaining a first implanting information of the first bone screw; setting a reference line in the spinal image; generating a second implanting information by mirroring the first implanting information with respect to the reference line; and guiding a second bone screw to be implanted in the other side of the spinous process according to the second implanting information. The method generates a second implanting information that is based on and symmetric to the first implanting information, thus allowing the bone screws to be precisely implanted in both sides of the spinous process and aligned with each other in the same transverse section of the spinous process.

    Abstract: A surgical tool calibrating device for calibrating a surgical tool is provided. The surgical tool calibrating device includes a calibration block, an electronic sensing module, a diameter measurement module, and a signal communication module. The calibration block has a tool inserting portion in which the surgical tool can be inserted. The electronic sensing module is disposed on the bottom of the tool inserting portion for sensing the tip of the surgical tool and generating a measuring signal accordingly. The diameter measurement module is mounted around the tool inserting portion. The diameter measurement module is actuated to sense the surgical tool and measure the diameter of the surgical tool upon reception of the measuring signal. The signal communication module is electrically connected to the electronic sensing module and the diameter measurement module for transmitting the measuring signal.

    Abstract: A surgical tool calibrating device having an electronic sensing module is provided. The surgical tool calibrating device includes a calibration block, an electronic sensing module, and a signal communication module. The calibration block has at least one tool inserting portion, and the electronic sensing module is disposed on the bottom of the said tool inserting portion for generating an activating signal. The signal communication module is electrically connected to the electronic sensing module for transmitting the activating signal. With the electronic sensing module being provided in the calibration block, the activating signal is generated immediately when a surgical tool is inserted into the calibration block and makes contact with the electronic sensing module. Thus, the surgical tool calibrating device is activated in real time so as to determine the length of and the suitable bore diameter for the surgical tool.

    Abstract: A surgical guide instrument capable of omni-directional positioning and an omni-directional positioning unit thereof are provided. The surgical guide instrument includes the omni-directional positioning unit, which is coupled with the surgical instrument. The omni-directional positioning unit is configured as a pyramid, and a plurality of reflectors is deposited on vertices of the pyramid, respectively. As the reflectors of the omni-directional positioning unit are arranged as a three-dimensional pyramid, the omni-directional positioning unit can be connected in any position to the surgical instrument and be detected correctly by a surgical guide system, thereby reducing surgical complexity.

    Abstract: A method for image positioning is provided. The method is configured for positioning image data captured by a C-arm device and includes the steps of: providing an indication module, providing a database, reading the image data, comparing the image data, deriving a coordinate conversion system, and calculating the image data. Steel balls in the indication module have known template coordinates. Plural sets of template triangle data, each set composed by three of the steel balls, are stored in the database. Steel ball image data presented in the image data form indication triangle data. The indication triangle data are compared with the template triangle data to produce comparison results. The coordinate conversion system is derived from the comparison result with the highest similarity. Thus, image coordinates in the image data can be converted into and from the template coordinates via the coordinate conversion system, allowing the image to be orientated precisely.
