  • Patent number: 8687748
Abstract: An electronic device capable of performing automatic frequency control (AFC) to maintain frequency and timing without good received bursts, in which an oscillation unit and a baseband processing unit are provided. Wherein, the baseband processing unit computes a compensation adjustment according to a prediction model and stored information regarding a previous digital value adjustment when detecting that the baseband processing unit is incapable of controlling the oscillation unit according to received bursts from the remote communication unit, and adjusts the oscillation unit according to the determined compensation adjustment.

  • Patent number: 8374288
Abstract: A dummy burst detection method. The method begins with generating a dummy burst nominal power ?DB2 of a received burst and a normal burst nominal power ?NB2 of the received burst, wherein the dummy burst nominal power ?DB2 is generated based on the hypotheses that the received burst is a dummy burst, and the normal burst nominal power ?NB2 is formed based on the hypotheses that the received burst is a normal burst. A likelihood of the received burst is determined according to the dummy burst nominal power ?DB2, the normal burst nominal power ?NB2, and the noise power of the received burst.

  • Patent number: 7516266
Abstract: A system capable of sequentially writing data to a flash memory. The system includes at least one virtual block, at least one physical block, and at least one active block. Each virtual block has a plurality of virtual pages and a virtual block address. Each virtual page has a virtual page offset. Each physical block has a plurality of physical pages and a physical block address. Each physical page of the physical block has a physical page offset. Each active block has a plurality of physical pages and an active block address. Each physical page of the active block has a physical page offset. Each virtual block is mapped to one physical block. In the mapped virtual and physical blocks, each virtual page is mapped to one physical page. In the mapped virtual and physical pages, the virtual page offset is the same as the physical page offset.

  • Publication number: 20050216687
Abstract: A data managing method and a data access system for storing management data in a management bank of a non-volatile memory. The data managing method includes dividing the non-volatile memory into a plurality of banks, wherein each of the banks contains an attribute field. When an attribute field of a first bank stores a first value and the first bank is full, the data managing method finds a second bank with an attribute field storing a second value, copies valid data stored in the first bank into the second bank, assigns the first value to the attribute field of the second bank, and erases all data originally stored in the first bank.
