  • Patent number: 10043085
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for initiating a responsive action to environmental factors, include a processor monitoring biometric data and movements of an individual obtained from one or more sensors proximate to the individual, to establish and continuously update, a baseline state for the individual. The processor obtains video data and audio data from a recording device worn by the individual and contemporaneous data from the one or more sensors. The processor determines, based on the contemporaneous sensor data and the baseline state, that the individual is experiencing a state inconsistent with the baseline state. The processor analyzes the video data and the audio data to identify environmental factors contributing to the state inconsistent with the baseline state. Based on identifying the environmental factors, the processor determines a responsive action to mitigate the environmental factors and initiates the responsive action.

  • Publication number: 20160283994
Abstract: A system, method and program product that evaluates trustworthiness of nodes participating in peer-to-peer transactions. A system is disclosed that includes: an input process for receiving a resource request from a consumer node; an identification analyzer that collects metadata associated with the consumer node; a transaction analyzer that extracts contextual data associated with the resource request; a matching engine that matches the consumer node with a set of provider nodes; and a contextual trust scoring engine that calculates a trust score for each of the consumer node and the set of provider nodes, wherein the trust score is based on the request, the metadata, and the contextual data.

  • Publication number: 20150058154
Abstract: An optimization server optimizes a shopping list. The server receives a shopping list including a plurality of items to purchase. The server determines a discount to the price of one or more of the plurality of items, a sentiment score for one or more of the plurality of items, and a sentiment score for a retailer of one or more of the plurality of items. The server groups the plurality of items into a plurality of sub-lists, transmits the plurality of sub-lists to a respective plurality of retail servers, and receives a plurality of bids in response. The server generates optimized shopping lists based at least on the discount, the sentiment scores, and the plurality of bids. The server regenerates at least one of the optimized shopping lists based at least on a dynamic discount condition, a dynamic price condition, or a dynamic inventory condition.

  • Patent number: 8375427
Abstract: A set of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) services can be utilized by applications executing in protected application environments external to a SOA environment. The SOA services can include an identity service, a eligibility service, and a security risk assessment service, each of which generates a percentage of risk when run. SOA services can be dependent on specific applications and application cases, each being a specific context of an application, so that results vary by application case. The SOA environment can store data, which is constantly being updated about people, which is used by the SOA services. In one embodiment, sensitive or confidential data can be maintained in the protected application environment and can be isolated from the SOA environment. Rules, criteria, factors, and the like used by the SOA services can be customized at an arbitrary level of complexity for specific applications and application cases.

  • Patent number: 8368754
Abstract: Video analysis capabilities can be integrated into an emergency response system and/or a video operations center (VOC) monitoring for emergency incidents. At least one computer program driven response action involving detecting patterns in video streams that comprise video of an incident can be performed. This response action can be directed to VOC personnel and/or to emergency response system personnel. Further, the response action can result in an automated responses to an emergency incident and/or to an alerting of humans monitoring video to focus on a particular video stream/incident. One such response action, which increases video capture activity at a geographic location of the incident, can occur responsive to a receipt of an emergency call by the emergency response system. Another response action can analyze at least one video stream of the geographic location and can automatically dispatch (in approximately real time) an emergency responder to the geographic location.
