    Abstract: A phosphor material manufacturing method includes: prefabricating a LaPO4:Tm+ solution or a LaPO4:Eu+ solution in nitric acid; adding a carbon nano-sized material to the LaPO4:Tm+ solution or the LaPO4:Eu3+ solution for mixing to obtain a mixed solution precursors; precipitating the mixed solution and separating a precipitation substance from the mixed solution; drying and grinding the precipitation substance to obtain a powder material; the powder material with a predetermined temperature to form a sintered LaPO4:Tm+ phosphor material or a sintered LaPO4:Eu+ phosphor material. Advantageously, the sintered LaPO4:Tm+ phosphor material or the sintered LaPO4:Eu+ phosphor material is coated by the carbon nano-sized material for enhancing the efficiency of energy transfer and luminance of the phosphor material.

    Abstract: A redundant array of independent disks (RAID) storage device, a server system, and a power management method thereof are provided. The RAID storage device includes a plurality of hard disks, a plurality of fans, a power detector, and an expander control unit. The power detector is used for detecting the power consumption of the RAID storage device. The expander control unit is electrically connected to the hard disks, the fans, and the power detector. The expander control unit has a power control application which enables a user to configure an upper power consumption limit. When the power consumption of the RAID storage device exceeds the upper power consumption limit, the expander control unit executes a power management procedure so that the power consumption of the RAID storage device is lower than the upper power consumption limit.

    Abstract: A projector including a lens, an IR emission circuit, an IR reception circuit and a central processing circuit is provided. The projector is controlled by a first infrared ray (IR) signal provided by a remote controller. The IR emission circuit emits a second IR signal to detect whether an obstacle is positioned on an optical path of the projection light. When an obstacle is positioned on the optical path, the second IR signal is reflected to the IR reception circuit via the obstacle. The IR reception circuit provides a first and a second output signal in response to the first and the second IR signal respectively. The central processing circuit determines that an obstacle is positioned on the optical path and accordingly alters an operational mode of the projector in response to the second output signal and controls the operation of the projector in response to the first output signal.
