    Abstract: According to an example, to repair a disk drive error, a determination is made if a disk field-repair is possible, if an operating system recovery image is available, and if any failed sectors exist in the operating system recovery image. A user is prompted to begin a repair. Failed sectors on the disk drive are read and overwritten, and an operating system recovery is started. In some examples, the disk drive error is an uncorrectable disk drive error.
