  • Patent number: 9054537
Abstract: An Electric tool with a controller for a battery pack and a control method thereof. The electric tool includes a battery pack, an operator and a controller The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells and a protection circuit module detects and controls a state of charge and discharge of a plurality of battery cells. The operator receives power from the battery pack and converts the received power into physical energy. The controller controls the protection circuit module so as to perform a protection process of the battery pack in a state similar to over-discharge caused in the case in which the power is transferred from the battery pack to the operator and at the same time, the operator does not continuously operate.

  • Patent number: 8847552
Abstract: A battery pack blocks a current flowing between battery cells coupled in parallel among a plurality of battery cells coupled in series and in parallel while measuring voltages so as to prevent a battery cell in a low-voltage state from being automatically charged through a battery cell coupled in parallel to the battery cell in a low-voltage state, and the battery pack accurately determines whether there is an abnormal battery cell by detecting voltages of battery cells coupled in series, thereby performing accurate measurement.

  • Publication number: 20140220403
Abstract: A battery pack assembly includes a battery pack and an attachable-detachable portion. The battery pack has a first magnetic portion. The attachable-detachable portion has a second magnetic portion magnetically coupled to the first magnetic portion and attaches and detaches the battery pack. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a battery pack assembly and an electronic device having the same, in which the attachable-detachable portion and the battery pack are coupled to each other using the magnetic coupling between the first and second magnetic portions, so that it is possible to firmly perform coupling between the attachable-detachable portion and the battery pack and to easily separate the battery pack from the electronic device.
