  • Publication number: 20260049870
Abstract: A housing for internal components of an optical probe is provided. The housing includes a housing body including an outer surface and an inner surface opposite the outer surface. The housing body is elongated along a center longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. The inner surface defines and annularly surrounds a cavity that is open at the proximal end and closed at the distal end. The housing includes a purge channel that includes a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The purge channel extends axially relative to the center longitudinal axis from the gas inlet to the gas outlet. The purge channel is formed between the outer surface and the inner surface of the housing body. The gas outlet is located distally from the gas inlet and through the inner surface of the housing body. The gas outlet directs gas into the cavity toward the distal end.

  • Patent number: 12545412
Abstract: An apparatus includes an optical sensor and at least one controller operably coupled to the optical sensor. The optical sensor is configured to detect a time of arrival (TOA) of a blade while operating in a TOA mode. The at least one controller is configured to determine that conditions on a tip of the blade are subject to icing while the optical sensor is operating in the TOA mode. The at least one controller is also configured to control the optical sensor to operate in a deicing mode to increase power of the optical sensor and heat the tip of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20260029308
Abstract: An adapter for pulling a lead wire through an engine assembly comprises a lead connector configured to connect with a lead wire connector associated with a lead wire. A width of the lead connector is equal to or less than a width of the lead wire connector. A pull connector is configured to connect with a pull cable threaded through the engine assembly to enable a pulling force to be applied to the adapter. The pull connector is integrated with the lead connector.

  • Patent number: 12467376
Abstract: A lead cooling assembly includes a cooling jacket including a tubular section having an exterior portion and an interior portion, where the interior portion is proportioned to surround a probe lead and provide space for a flow of a gaseous coolant. The lead cooling assembly also includes an intake configured to admit the gaseous coolant into the interior portion of the cooling jacket. The lead cooling assembly further includes a collar configured to fit over the exterior portion of the cooling jacket, where the collar includes one or more exit holes configured to pass the gaseous coolant out of the interior portion of the cooling jacket.

  • Publication number: 20250321098
Abstract: A system includes a shaft configured to rotate about an axis. The system also includes a target coupled to the shaft and having a radius that varies around a circumference of the target. The system further includes a sensor configured to measure a distance between the sensor and an outer surface of the target. In addition, the system includes at least one processing device configured to receive at least one distance measurement from the sensor and determine a rotational angular position of the shaft based on the at least one distance measurement and known profile data of the target.
