  • Publication number: 20230403821
Abstract: Techniques for dynamically changing a pressure within a pressurized cooling system to thereby allow different cooling rates to be used to cool electronic equipment are disclosed. A pressurized cooling system cools electronic heat generating components using dielectric heat transfer fluid disposed within a two-phase immersion cooling container. This container is operable to maintain different pressure levels. The pressurized cooling system includes a pressure system structured to modify a pressure within the container. The system operates in a first state when the pressure is above a threshold pressure. The system operates in a second state when the pressure is at the threshold pressure. The system operates in either one of the first state or the second state based on an operating state of the heat generating component.

  • Publication number: 20220276905
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media for optimizing resource allocation on a computing zone based on bursting data and in accordance with an allocation policy. For example, systems disclosed herein may implement a lifetime-aware allocation of computing resources to facilitate computational bursting on respective server nodes to prioritize different aspects of performance on the server nodes of a cloud computing system. The systems described herein provide a number of benefits, including, by way of example, facilitating an allocation policy that enables more densely packing virtual machines on respective server nodes, boosting individual virtual machine performance, and reducing a buffer of empty nodes that need to be maintained on one or more node clusters. This may include more densely packing virtual machines on respective server nodes.

  • Publication number: 20220264761
Abstract: The discussion relates to cooling computing devices and specifically to managing two-phase cooling. One example can include a two-phase liquid immersion tank containing heat generating components and a liquid phase of a coolant having a boiling point within an operating temperature range of the heat generating components. The example can also include a stratification chamber fluidly coupled to the liquid immersion tank and configured to at least partially separate a gas phase of the coolant from other gases. The example can further include a condenser chamber fluidly coupled to the stratification chamber and configured to receive the gas phase of the coolant and cause the gas phase of the coolant to phase change back into the liquid phase of the coolant.
