A collar is formed at a top end of the body, extending from the sidewall. A support is configured and arranged to prop the sidewall in a fully expanded position. A lid with an airlock may be included to permit the body to be vacuum sealed.

A timing circuit is further provided to count to a settable time parameter. A function button to allow setting the time parameter, an increment button to increment the time parameter and a decrement button to decrease the time parameter are provided. A display circuit is further provided to display the time parameter on the display. An audio circuit is provided to play the voice recording stored in the memory through the speaker when the time parameter is reached. The timing circuit is reset and begins counting to the time parameter again once the time parameter is reached.

The child sleep monitor may further include a projector that is configured and arranged to project images onto a surface for a predetermined time period.
