Patent number: 12343255Abstract: The disclosure relates to heart have prostheses with the reduced need of pacemaker implantation and improved means for positioning the replacement heart valve. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the stent scaffold of the valve prosthesis includes axially extending locators. The locators may be positioned within the cusp of the native aortic valve. Placement of the locators within the cusps may prevent further proximal movement of the stent scaffold into the left ventricle. By adjusting the location of the proximal end of the locators with respect to the proximal end of the stent scaffold, infra-annular placement of the stent scaffold in the aortic annulus may be assured. In another aspect, means for visualizing the positioning of replacement heart valves at an implant site inside an individual's body is disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2024Date of Patent: July 1, 2025Assignee: JenaValve Technology, Inc.Inventors: Stefan Schreck, Hussain S. Rangwala, Payam Saffari

Publication number: 20240315712Abstract: Aspiration thrombectomy devices and methods wherein an aspiration cycle includes a positive displacement segment to facilitate clot removal, a pump cartridge to facilitate tube management and an aspiration device for providing a vacuum surge. Disclosed herein is an aspiration thrombectomy system which relies on air or inert gas, rather than liquid, to provide both static and dynamic suction level profiles for safely and efficiently retrieving and removing from the body a thrombus. In one example embodiment, two or more pressure sources may be configured to apply two or more suction levels to an aspiration catheter. Valves may connect conduits between the pressure sources and the aspiration catheter, with the valves being selectively opened or closed to control which pressure level is applied to the catheter.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2022Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: MicroVention, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Rye, Tao Lin, Xiang Simon Han, Sarri Alsunna, Hussain S. Publication number: 20230329888Abstract: A stent, a stent delivery system, and a method of delivering a stent are described that allow the porosity of the stent to be changed dynamically during a delivery procedure. Unlike prior stents and procedures that are configured to deploy with a predetermined porosity, the physician can create a region of high stent porosity over certain vessel features, a low stent porosity over other vessel features, and can create these porosity changes with at least one stent or stent layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2023Publication date: October 19, 2023Applicant: MicroVention, Inc.Inventors: Hussain S.
