  • Publication number: 20230329888
Abstract: A stent, a stent delivery system, and a method of delivering a stent are described that allow the porosity of the stent to be changed dynamically during a delivery procedure. Unlike prior stents and procedures that are configured to deploy with a predetermined porosity, the physician can create a region of high stent porosity over certain vessel features, a low stent porosity over other vessel features, and can create these porosity changes with at least one stent or stent layer.

  • Patent number: 11337800
Abstract: The disclosure relates to heart valve prostheses with the reduced need of pacemaker implantation and improved means for positioning the replacement heart valve. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the stent scaffold of the valve prosthesis includes axially extending locators. The locators may be positioned within the cusp of the native aortic valve. Placement of the locators within the cusps may prevent further proximal movement of the stent scaffold into the left ventricle. By adjusting the location of the proximal end of the locators with respect to the proximal end of the stent scaffold, infra-annular placement of the stent scaffold in the aortic annulus may be assured. In another aspect, means for visualizing the positioning of replacement heart valves at an implant site inside an individual's body is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220151646
Abstract: A distal aspiration catheter comprises a catheter body having a central lumen, at least one distal opening and a distal tip positioned distally to the at least one distal opening. An aspiration source is configured to attach to a proximal end/luer hub of the central lumen. When the aspiration source is activated, a clot/emboli lodged in a blood vessel is partially ingested into the at least one distal opening of the catheter body by the application of a static aspiration force. The aspiration source may activate a cyclic aspiration force with a forward pressure flow to induce clot fatigue into the partially ingested clot. The fatigued clot can be collected inside the distal tip of the catheter and be removed completely by a single pass of the distal aspiration catheter.

  • Publication number: 20220039804
Abstract: A flow-diverting implant includes a saddle-shaped braided mesh diverter that is sized to provide adequate blocking coverage of a neck of an aneurysm. The diverter is anchored using minimally profiled, generally circular anchors that present little to no resistance to blood flow and are unlikely to create thrombosis. A locator extends into the aneurysm to ensure the diverter is optimally positioned over the neck of the aneurysm.
