  • Publication number: 20130326610
Abstract: A system for centrally controlling access by computers in a corporate network to a plant network that runs plant applications. The system includes an access control computer in communication with the corporate network and includes a memory, a processor coupled to the memory and a multi-user application stored in the memory and executable by the processor. The multi-user application communicates with a plurality of computers in the corporate network concurrently and communicates with at least one plant application running in the plant network to retrieve data from and pass data to the plant application on behalf of the plurality of computers in the corporate network concurrently. Since all communication from the plurality of computers is tunneled through the access control computer, the likelihood of any virus or worm spreading into the plant network is minimized.

  • Patent number: 8601139
Abstract: A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy server including a multi-core central processing unit (CPU) is presented. The multi-core CPU includes a receiving core dedicated to pre-SIP message processing. The pre-SIP message processing may include message retrieval, header and payload parsing, and Call-ID hashing. The Call-ID hashing is used to determine a post-SIP processing core designated to process messages between particular user pair. The pre-SIP and post-SIP configuration allows for the use of multiple processing cores to utilize a single control plane, thereby providing an accurate topology of the network for each processing core.

  • Patent number: 8595162
Abstract: The robust controller for nonlinear MIMO systems uses a radial basis function (RBF) neural network to generate optimal control signals abiding by constraints, if any, on the control signal or on the system output. The weights of the neural network are trained in the negative direction of the gradient of output squared error. Nonlinearities in the system, as well as variations in system parameters, are handled by the robust controller. Simulation results are included in the end to assess the performance of the proposed controller.

  • Patent number: 8595516
Abstract: A system and method for global power management in a power over Ethernet (PoE) chassis. Power supply status signals indicative of an operating condition of a plurality of power supplies are provided to a plurality of power sourcing equipment (PSE) controller chips in a plurality of blades of a chassis system. Pre-configured combination logic within each of the PSE controller chips converts an indicated operational state of the plurality of power supplies into a powering decision for each of the ports served by the PSE controller chip. Global power management is also effected through the use of scaling factors for the various blades to ensure that the lowest priority powered port (LPPP) in a first blade does not have a lower priority than the highest priority non-powered port (HPNPP) in a second blade.

  • Publication number: 20130308460
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing IP services in an integrated fashion are provided. According to one embodiment, packets are load balanced among virtual routing processing resources of an IP service generator of a virtual router (VR) based switch. A packet flow cache is maintained with packet flow entries containing information indicative of packet processing actions for established packet flows. Deep packet classification is performed to determine whether a packet is associated with an established packet flow. If so, the packet is directed to one of multiple virtual services processing resources representing application-tailored engines configured to provide managed firewall services. If the packet is allowed, it is returned to the source virtual routing processing resource for forwarding.

  • Publication number: 20130296783
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus for retroperfusion of tissues and organs. The apparatus comprises a catheter with a proximal end for engaging a supply of the fluid medium, and a distal end having an expandable-contractible chamber for installation into suitable vessels or organs. The expandable-contractible chamber comprises a conduit element having a fluid-filled hollow wall defining a lumen. The conduit element has a first deformable inner-facing section approximate a proximal end of the conduit and a second deformable inner-facing section approximate a distal end of the conduit element. Controlled application of a pressure at a proximal end of the conduit element causes deformation of the conduit into the lumen at its distal end thereby occluding the flow of fluid medium through the catheter. Controlled release of the pressure releases deformation of the fluid-filled conduit at its distal end thereby unblocking the flow of the fluid medium through the catheter.
