The operational mode is one of multiple possible operational modes including a first operational mode defining a series connection between the two or more battery packs and second operational mode defining a parallel connection between the two or more battery packs. The connection between the battery packs is controlled by a first plurality of switches. A plurality of low voltage loads are connected to a subset of the battery packs in the battery packs such that a power output of the subset of the battery packs provides full power to the plurality of low voltage loads. The plurality of low voltage loads are connected to only the subset of the battery packs in both the first operational mode and the second operational mode.

    Abstract: A vehicle's electrified powertrain includes a battery pack linked to a traction power inverter module (TPIM) converting DC voltage from the battery pack into AC voltage. A rotary electric machine includes a stator energized by the TPIM's AC voltage, enclosing a rotor core capable of rotation. The rotor core contains slots holding conductive bars and permanent magnets, with conductive bars positioned closer to the rotor core's center. The conductive bars and permanent magnets are separated by gaps within each slot. An annular end ring assembly is present at one end of the rotor core, featuring terminal conductors connected to subsets of conductive bars and a secondary coil of a rotary transformer. When the stator is energized, the rotor shaft, connected to the rotor, rotates. The electric machine powers a transmission, which is coupled to the rotor shaft.

    Abstract: A micro-nano incremental mechanical surface treatment method, comprising the following steps: using a modification tool having a designable end to contact a surface of a substrate material, rotating the modification tool in a local region and compressing the material surface, presetting processing parameters by means of 3D modeling software, and after the tool has processed the entire surface, enabling the tool to move downwards to the indented surface compressed previously. The process continues until the surface material is compressed to a pre-defined thickness, thereby achieving the goals of grain refinement and surface performance improvement. By means of the present method, a workpiece having a complex shape can be flexibly and designably surface modified. The method has the advantages of high bonding strength, no pollution, and low cost.

    Abstract: Infant cereals play a significant role in the complementary baby feeding period. Provided is a preparation method for infant cereal, with a special focus on whole grain infant cereals as well as gluten free cereals. There is mounting evidence of many benefits of whole grain consumption for human health. Similarly, consumers often link the term whole grains to healthiness, which becomes a more important factor when selecting an infant cereal brand. Whole grain cereals ought to be presented as early as possible during infancy. Nonetheless, the greatest challenge that food manufacturers are facing is to drive consumers' acceptance, including taste. The complementary infant feeding is unquestionably key in shaping food preferences of infants. Therefore, it is a suitable period in life at which to introduce whole grain cereals for acceptance across the entire lifetime.
