  • Publication number: 20220146822
Abstract: A wearable display system that includes an optical lens element in optical communication with an electronic display device for displaying images to a viewer. An eye position sensor, head position or pose sensor, and gaze/head pose prediction means are provided. The gaze/head pose prediction means is configured to process a sensed position of the viewer's eyes as one or more observation vectors through a sequentially updated model of the HVS to predict and estimate (multiple frames) the gaze parameters (direction and depth or pose). A host processor is configured to input and output display data, which may comprise light field data, to and from the system to a Cloud processor to provide displayed images to the viewer wherein the displayed images are optimized to match the viewer's human visual system.

  • Publication number: 20220011855
Abstract: A wearable system with a gestural interface for wearing on, for instance, the wrist of a user. The system comprises an ultrasonic transceiver array structure and may comprise a pico projector display element for displaying an image on a surface. User anatomical feature inputs are received in the form of ultrasound signals representative of a spatio-temporal cross-section of the wrist of the user by articulating wrist, finger and hand postures, which articulations are translated into gestures. Inputs from inertial and other sensors are used by the system as part of the anatomical feature posture identification method and device. Gestures are recognized using a mathematically-modeled, simulation-based set of biological metrics of tissue objects, which gestures are converted to executable computer instructions. Embodiments of the system disclosed herein may also be used to monitor biometric and health data over computer networks or using onboard systems.

  • Publication number: 20060238723
Abstract: Low-profile, large screen display using a rear projection array system using an array of micro projectors, each comprised of a micro-display device, several optical components, a red/green/blue (RGB) light emitting diode (LED) light source, a light sensor device for each color and power driving and interface electronics circuits. The plurality of Micro Projectors are arranged as an array along the vertices of a grid to conjointly project a uniform and seamless image that is comprised of the collective projected output pixels (sub-image) of the array of Micro Projectors. The Array Controller processes output signals generated by the light sensors embedded in each Micro Projector in the array and generates pixel grayscale input and light source control signals for each of the Micro Projectors in the array to maintain uniform luminance and chromaticity (color-point) across the array. Various features are disclosed, including tapering and diffusion of the sub-image boundaries to form a single large display.

  • Patent number: 5867400
Abstract: The architecture and design method of an application specific processor having an instruction set which is matched to the needs of a specific application is provided. The application specific processor design method is based on using a library of pre-designed function blocks (111-113). These pre-designed function blocks encapsulate complex processing functions most commonly used by a specific application. Each of the pre-designed application specific function blocks is designed such that values of certain parameters of the encapsulated processing algorithm are implemented using registers which can be programmed with any desired value. Each of the pre-designed application specific function blocks is designed such that it can interface with a multi-purpose bus (110) through which the function block can accept invocation, reconfiguration, and data input/output routing commands.
