  • Patent number: 10521722
Abstract: A disturbance detection, predictive analysis, and handling system and method is provided. The system and method may assist in identifying when, how, and what actions should be taken and by whom to prevent, reduce, or eliminate disturbances. The system and method may do so by monitoring or sensing activity in real time, performing predictive analytics on the data, and communicating the outcome to achieve a desired result. The system and method may include sensors provided within a sensor unit in communication with a hub. The sensor unit and hub may communicate over a personal area network. The system and method may also include a server and analytics engine to aid in the identification of disturbance and/or damage. The system and method may also use predictive algorithms and historic disruption data to enhance the accuracy of its prediction of disturbance and/or damage.

  • Publication number: 20090211325
Abstract: A method of making a steel core brass stair rod includes placing a brass billet into a chamber of an extrusion apparatus, where the brass billet includes an aperture configured to receive a steel core. The brass billet is heated to a temperature at which the brass billet is pliable. The brass billet and the steel core are co-extruded through a die of the extrusion apparatus such that the brass billet forms a brass shell which is fused to the steel core, where there is no air gap between the brass shell and the steel core.

  • Publication number: 20070151939
Abstract: The present invention provides a textile clamp for hanging textiles such as rugs, banners, fabrics, tapestries, and artwork. The textile clamp comprises a frame with at least one bar aperture, and a compression assembly comprised of a compression plate and a compression bar. The textile clamp may be coated with a non-slip material, and may also be provided with a hanger. The textile clamp is designed to support the weight of a textile, by compression, between the interior of the frame and the interior of the compression plate.

  • Patent number: 5960516
Abstract: A stair rod set having a pair of finials, a stair carpet retaining rod, and a pair of slidably interconnecting stair rod brackets. The slidably interconnecting stair rod brackets each have a top portion and a bottom portion. Each bracket has travel stop therein to stop the lateral travel of the top portion of the bracket with respect to the bottom portion of the bracket, as well as, to stop the lateral travel of the stair carpet retaining rod. The finials each have a male fastening portion for fastening the bracket through the travel stop to the rod. A stair rod bracket kit having a bracket as previously described, where the bracket has a plurality of top portions for use with a single bottom portion is included. The top portions of the bracket in the stair rod bracket kit differ in the presence or absence of indicia on them, or by the presence of differing indicia on them.
