The transmitting wireless device may be configured to transmit a neighbor discovery signal to one or more receiving wireless devices. The one or more receiving wireless devices may be discovered neighbor wireless devices of the transmitting wireless device and may be configured to receive the neighbor discovery signal. The method may further include determining a power level of the neighbor discovery signal based on the maximum transmission power of the transmitting wireless device and a number of the discovered neighbor wireless devices.
