Publication number: 20070097253Abstract: Provided an optical system having a multiple curvature lens and a method for manufacturing the same. The optical system includes an image-forming lens group, an image sensor, and an image processing unit. The image-forming lens group has one or more multiple curvature lenses each having a multiple curvature surface provided on at least one refractive surface on one side of the multiple curvature lens. The multiple curvature surface includes two or more curved surfaces of different curvatures formed in a concentric circle. The image-forming lens group also has one or more single curvature lenses arranged before or after the multiple curvature lens and having a refractive surface. The refractive surface includes a continuous curved surface of a single curvature radius formed on both sides of the single curvature lens. The image sensor senses an image formed by the image-forming lens group, and the image processing unit recovers the image sensed by the image sensor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2006Publication date: May 3, 2007Applicant: SAMSUNG ELECTRO-MECHANICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Yeon Woo, Ho Jeong, Jun Mun, Ji An, Hwa Chin, Ho You

Publication number: 20070031057Abstract: Provided are an optical system for processing an image using a PSF and an image processing method thereof. The optical system includes one or more lenses, an image sensor, and an image processor. The image sensor senses an image formed by the lenses, and the image processor recovers the image sensed by the image sensor using a PSF. A BFL defined as a distance between a refractive surface of one of the lenses that is closest to an image-side and the image sensor, is controlled such that ?PSF defined by Equation below has a value less than 100%. ? ? ? ? PSF ? ( % ) = PSF ? - PSF macro ( PSF ? + PSF macro ) / 2 × 100 An image is recovered using a PSF, so that an excellent image can be obtained over a wide object distance range.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2006Publication date: February 8, 2007Applicant: SAMSUNG ELECTRO-MECHANICS CO., LTDInventors: Yeon Woo, Ho Jeong, Hwa Chin, Jun Mun

Publication number: 20060273013Abstract: Distributed valve simulated moving beds are described in which junctions located between successive columns interrupt the flow of process fluid between columns, and either transmit the process fluid through a zone bypass to a succeeding column within the same zone or, if the junction is located between zones, direct the process fluid to an input/output line that is dedicated to the particular zone that immediately follows the junction. At each step of the SMB's operation, the distribution of flows in each junction is modulated to accomplish movement of ports consistent with the SMB's design. The described system can be employed to accomplish moving ports chromatography. Further described are simulated moving beds that contain one or more decoupled on-line regeneration zones. The regeneration zone is decoupled from the separation zones in the sense that it observes a step time (a “regeneration interval”) that is different than the step time observed by the separation zones of the SMB.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2006Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventors: Nien-Hwa Chin, Chim Chin

Publication number: 20050023423Abstract: A desktop support for LCD mainly consists of a fixture module and an inclined support module. The fixture module is composed of two axles directly molded from the back of LCD and two sleeves on top of the base. The inclined support module consists of a rotary frame on the bottom back of LCD and a set of adjustable fixture at base bottom, against which the frame rod sits by gravity. Through this, the two axles of the fixture module are placed in the sleeves. Thus, LCD sits vertically against one side of the base by gravity and rotation. The frame rod can match the adjustable fixture to adjust the LCD angle. The axle, the frame and the adjustable fixture form a triangle support. After angle adjustment, LCD can still stand up firmly.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2003Publication date: February 3, 2005Inventors: Ming-Hwa Chin, Chih-Yoe Chen

Patent number: 4713232Abstract: A process for the management of by-product tetranitromethane (TNM) which avoids the hazards of the prior art isolation or extraction procedures. A selected in-plant liquid or vapor stream, or a reactor off-gas stream from nitration or nitric acid oxidation plant, which contains TNM, is heated to effectively pyrolyze the TNM without undue losses of nitric acid values.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1986Date of Patent: December 15, 1987Assignee: C-I-L Inc.Inventors: Chang-Hwa Chin, Anthony C. Patent number: 4472215Abstract: A process and apparatus is provided for the continuous manufacture of a water-in-oil explosive emulsion precursor. Separate streams of the water phase component and the oil phase component are introduced into an in-line motionless mixer. A chosen portion of the output from the mixer is recirculated and returned to the motionless mixer for further emulsification. The process allows for the production of a very high phase ratio water-to-oil emulsion (up to 95% water phase) without phase inversion after long storage. The precursor is simply converted to a sensitive explosive by means of known density lowering techniques.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 1983Date of Patent: September 18, 1984Assignee: C-I-L Inc.Inventors: Rejean Binet, Chang-Hwa Chin, Anthony C.
