  • Patent number: 8123538
Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic card connector, and intends to arrange one single testing terminal which forms a testing circuit together with an inherent conductive terminal of the electronic card connector, thereby obtaining a testing function which must be done by using two insertion pins in the prior art. Due to omitting one testing terminal, the volume of the electronic card connector is further reduced, and product assembly becomes more simply and opera table, thereby improving product efficiency, and greatly lowing manufacturing cost.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2006
Date of Patent: February 28, 2012
    Assignee: Molex Incorporated
    Inventors: Xiang Xu, Hwa-Li Wang

  • Patent number: 6322392
Abstract: A surface mount ground plate structure for a PC card connector assembly is provided such that the solder joints of the ground plate, as well as the signal terminals of the underlying connector can be inspected, thus facilitating the assembly of the PC card connector assembly to an underlying printed circuit board. The ground plate is mounted to the connector in the same direction that the connector is mounted to the circuit board. The ground plate comprises a main body, a plurality of mating ground pins extending from one side of the main body, and two ground solder tails arranged on opposite sides of the main body adapted to be surface mount connected to the printed circuit board.
