  • Patent number: 10503967
Abstract: A system includes an interface configured to receive time series data representing information from a plurality of sensors, and a processor configured to construct a behavior model based on the time series data. The processor identifies features in the time series data, divides the time series data of each of the identified features into segments, and extracts feature components from the segments. The processor further constructs a plurality of state graphs, each state graph including components connected by weighted edges, constructs a behavior graph, wherein the state graphs form vertices of the behavior graph, clusters the state graphs in the behavior graph; and selects a representative state graph from each cluster, wherein the behavior model includes the selected state graphs.

  • Patent number: 10303756
Abstract: This invention relates to creating a narrative description of media content. In an embodiment, a computer-implemented method describes content of a group of images. The group of images includes a first image and a second image. A first object in the first image is recognized to determine a first content data. A second object in the second image is recognized to determine a second content data. Finally, a narrative description of the group of images is determined according to a parameterized template and the first and second content data.

  • Patent number: 10275606
Abstract: One or more computer devices may receive a document from private content that is accessible by a set of users, and may extract metadata from the document. The metadata may provide information relating to one or more aspects of the document. The one or more computer devices may determine, based on the metadata, whether a portion of the document includes information that is only to be accessible by a particular user from the set of users, and may append a restrict indicator to the metadata when the portion of the document includes information that is only to be accessible by the particular user. The restrict indicator may identify the particular user and the portion of the document. The one or more computer devices may store the metadata and the restrict indicator in a personal search index.

  • Patent number: 9888868
Abstract: A sensor system and method configured to take multiple channels of sensors, and based on context and user behavior reflected in the signals, identifies specified channels for sensing according to a sensing policy. The sensing policy is used to reduce the amount of data sampled, such that it is possible to reconstruct the values of the non sampled sensors efficiently. The sensing policy is influenced by user and system's behavior and can be assigned either offline or in real time.

  • Patent number: 9690913
Abstract: A networked software solution comprising a plurality of servers, and application programs at various of the servers forming components of the solution. License information for all networked applications that form part of the solution is stored at each server that forms part of the solution. At relevant times, a server might determine from it's stored license information whether or not the applications of the solution are all operating according to unexpired licenses. In this way all servers of a solution receive and store the license information pertaining to other required applications of the solution and can determine at any time if the solution is validly licensed.

  • Publication number: 20140304269
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for automatically sharing media between users is provided. A first image is received depicting a scene with one or more persons. Face detection information is identified for each person in the first image. Identification information for each face detected is obtained without user intervention. The face detection information and the identification information are associated with the first image. The first image including the associated face detection information and identification information is sent to a server hosting a media sharing service. An access link to an event group is received. • Publication number: 20140253504
Abstract: The present application discloses a system comprising a mobile device and an assembly of sensors that are attached to the device and that provide added control functions of the device. The sensors may consist of flex pressure or motion sensors or essentially any sensor construct that can receive tactile input from the touch of a user. The sensors are connected to the device through input-output pins or through a proprietary wireless communication protocol. The sensors transfer user actions to provide commands to the device to operate the specific functionalities associated with the sensor data. In certain embodiments, the pressure sensors are formed in an array such that a chain of sensor inputs maps a movement by the user to an action performed by the device. With the appropriate mechanical expedients, haptic capabilities are provided such that feedback to the user is provided by pressure or vibration sensations on the device.

  • Patent number: 8823526
Abstract: A method for determining the motive instability of an individual using foot pressure, foot speed and foot direction data collected from sensors on shoes. The sensed data is used to determine the minimum number and the placement of pressure sensors in the shoe. The data from the sensors is processed to extract spatial and temporal parameters as desired. The data is grouped into segments based on a segmentation rule. The trend in each segment is determined. The variability of the trend in each segment is determined. The risk of fall is computed on the basis of the trend and variance. The computation is adjustable by emphasizing certain parameters in order to tailor the instability assessment to a specific individual.

  • Publication number: 20140227676
Abstract: An interactive educational and entertainment system comprised of a toy as an avatar in the physical world and a digital environment, where the represented avatar has a corresponding physical toy. The system enables three way communications among the player, the physical toy and the digital environment or the avatar presented in digital environment. The physical toy acts as a bridge to transfer the state in physical world to digital world and vice versa. The physical toy is capable of measuring the activities and actions of physical player directly or indirectly, transfer the collected data to the virtual space and also use the recommendations from virtual space to engage/coach the human player.
