Abstract: A search service providing method and a display apparatus applying the same are provided. In response to a user selecting a particular item of search result items displayed in a second region, the search service providing method displays the selected search result item in a third region so that the user can display and temporary store his/her intended search result in a separate region. Thus, the user can select and access the temporarily stored search result items displayed in the third region, without having to search previous sites repeatedly.

Abstract: Disclosed are a display apparatus displaying a web page and a displaying method of the same, the display apparatus including: an input unit which receives web page information; an image processor which processes a web page to display the web page; a display unit which displays thereon the processed web page; a command receiver which receives a user's command; and a controller which controls the image processor to divide the web page into at least one block, and to display the web page in blocks on the display unit according to a user's command input through the command receiver. Accordingly, a web page can be displayed in blocks that are not cut or hidden.

Abstract: A display apparatus for viewing a portion of a web page and a control method thereof is provided. The display apparatus divides the web page into at least a plurality of first blocks which may be individually displayed on the display apparatus so a user can more easily view the contents of the web page. The display apparatus may further divide at least one of the plurality of first blocks into a plurality of second blocks such that the size of the plurality of second blocks is less than a size of a screen of the display apparatus. The plurality of second blocks may also be formed to avoid dividing objects on the web page. The user may provide instructions to control the display apparatus to view one or more blocks corresponding to the desired portions of the web page.

Abstract: A display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. Abstract: A widget providing method and an apparatus for displaying the widget are provided. According to the present method of generating a hyperlink widget, a widget is generated upon selection of links included in a web page. The generated widget is displayed on the specific portion of a screen. Through the generated widget, a user may check brief information regarding the hyperlinked web page, select widgets including contents that the user wants, and load and display the hyperlinked web pages corresponding to the selected widgets, without the user having to return to the apparatus page and select another hyperlink.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for generating a moving image, and an apparatus and a method for reproducing a moving image are provided. The present moving image generating apparatus includes a script parsing unit which analyzes script information, a composer which generates a script to define a moving image, and a storage management unit which includes and stores setting information regarding the moving image in the script. Accordingly, a user may prevent the consumption of unnecessary resources as a moving image defined in a script is generated.

Abstract: A display apparatus and a driving method thereof, which are able to conveniently and efficiently provide a social networking service and a broadcasting service between users. The display apparatus may display a web page, receive a broadcasting signal, and display an image of the broadcasting signal. By transmitting at least one of the web page and the image to another user, the display apparatus conveniently provides the social networking service and the broadcasting service to the users.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of providing a schedule and a route are provided in which the apparatus includes an information collection unit analyzing input information and extracting an event to be added to a first schedule, a pattern recognition unit extracting an activity pattern of a user with reference to a past route and past event information, and a generation unit applying the activity pattern to at least one event of the first schedule and the extracted event to generate a second schedule, generating a first route between event locations with reference to position information and time information of each event in the second schedule, generating a third schedule, to which an additional event is added, with reference to a transition time between the event locations and an actual event time, and generating a second route for the additional event in the third schedule.
