Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile communication device and a method of controlling the mobile communication device. The method includes displaying a plurality of items, receiving a first touch signal, indicating that at least one item having a position on the screen has been selected, receiving a second touch signal, and scrolling at least a portion of the displayed items, other than the at least one selected item, while the at least one selected item remains fixed in its original position on the touch screen, in response to the second touch signal.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling the operation of the mobile terminal are provided. The method includes displaying a first image on a touch screen; and if a multi-touch input is detected from the first image and then a drag input for dragging the first image is detected, displaying the first image as being torn from one side of the touch screen and storing the first image. Therefore, it is possible to easily store an image displayed on the touch screen in response to a multi-touch input and thus to effectively use the image for various purposes.
