The user terminal includes a main display, an interface unit for being connected to the external device equipped with a sub-display, and a controller that controls, in response to detection of the connection with the external device via the interface, a plurality of position icons for specifying a position of the sub-display to be displayed on the main display, and controls, in response to selection of a desired position icon among the plurality of position icons, connection setting of the sub-display to be performed based on the sub-display being disposed at a first desired position corresponding to the selected desired position icon.
